Posts: 3006 San Antonio, TX | Do you have a service manual for the Vision? Where did you order/buy it from and will they sell me one?
It would be nice to have a service manual to answer some questions I have on the electrical connections in the Vision.

| You should be able to buy a hard copy of the service manual from your Victory dealership. It also should come with a CD. It is very helpful and worth the money if you do any work on your bike.
Sincerely, Tim |

Ride Safe, Ride Often!! I bought a service manual from my dealer and it did not come with a CD either. I let my dealer know and they got me a copy of the CD as it should come with the manual. The CD is in a enclosed paper CD pouch that is bound to the inside of the manual towards the back. The CD has a PDF file of the entire manual on it. I have loaded it on to my pocket PC phone so I always have the manual with me. Even though the screen is small you can zoom in to read or view the manual. |

Posts: 3 St.Petersburg, Russia | Gentlemen,
could you help me with the service manual in pdf? The bike was purchased in GA, dealer didn't have manual at that time...
Now it's a problem to get one, as they don't ship to Russia.
Most of the service I will do myself, so I need the manual badly.
Searched the entire ebay, not a trace of the service manual for ViVi.
Kind regards,
Gleb |

And we can't order directly from Polaris, we have to go through the dealer?

| Check with your dealer. Other's have received their manual with out the CD and when they checked with their dealer, they got it. The CD is a PDF with color pictures. The paperback manual is in grayscale. Tim |

Posts: 88 Billings, MT | Your dealer is full of SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The CD is glued to the inside of the back of the manual! I know of a couple of dealers that have actually cut that page out of the book. When you get book, it should be plastic wrapped in an original Polaris shrink wrap.

Posts: 732 Western WA | Just ordered mine online through my local dealers website. I'm having it shipped straight to the house. The shipping was pricey, but compared to the cost of the trip to the dealer, and avoiding the hassle of missing CDs, I didn't mind too much. |

Posts: 600 Linwood, MI | I just got mine today for free. Sadly, my dealer closed up shop this week. I was in to get a bunch of stuff for my Vision (I got a pretty good deal on a bunch of things, since I'm one of his two Vision customers...) and as I was leaving one of the mechanics called me over and handed me the manual. "Here, I don't need this anymore." Both sad and fortuitous at the same time. |

Posts: 3006 San Antonio, TX | It is sad to hear of another Victory dealer closing. One shop stopped selling Victory but kept Polaris in New Braunfels, TX about a year ago. Too bad the network of dealers is shrinking.

Posts: 189 Baltimore, Md | Given that this thread has dealers going out of business (scary), dealers keeping CD's belonging to paying customers, other threads where dealers are keeping exchange parts and/or fibbing - any interest in having a thread on dealer service in general? I realize this might not be acceptable to management here as it would be subject to potential abuse by either side, but it could also be a benefit to those with several dealers to choose from locally. I've had both good and disappointing service from my dealer (week 3 now, waiting arrival of an ordered CB/Intercomm unit - supposed to take 3 days) and am wondering if I should consider moving on. I also bought local to support my dealer, but possibly should be considering other alternatives. Maybe naming names with specific details could help (or hinder), as long as all stories stick to the facts, leave out the emotion, and let the community decide. Thoughts? Consider this DOA if the mods don't want such a thing naturally. |

Not really your dealer's fault. Victory tends to be very slow in getting ordered accessories out to it's dealers. Just ask anyone who ordered S1/L1 pipes. I waited six weeks for mine. |

Posts: 88 Billings, MT | I must be damn lucky! When I have ordered anything for my vision, parts or accessories, I have never waited more than 10 days to get anything! I ordered: - A third key blank three weeks ago, got it in 2 days!
- Luggage rack, in stock
- PIAA Lights, came with bike
- Tall windshield, came with bike
- Cargo net for trunk, in stock
- Extra light switch, 5 days
- S1L1 kit, in stock
- Sissy seat backrest, came with bike
- Luggage rack for sissy seat back rest, came with bike
- Victory Bike cover, in stock
- Service manual, 2 days, and it came with CD
Impressive thing about this list is: - Ordered bike the Monday after Sturgis '07
- Was quoted delivery by Last weekend in March '08
- Delivery date was never changed to extend time!
- Bike was arrived at dealer Feb. 13
- Setup and paperwork was done by Feb 15th
- Signed paper work at 300 on that Friday was on the road home with new baby before 400
Overall, I am damn happy with my dealer, their service, and the Vision!
