| Hi all from Australia , I have just updated my bike from a 2009 vision to a 2012 ness vision . I want to fit level 1 pipes . I have seen 08-09 only vision pipes for sale , but the only difference I can see on the later pipes is the welded on tip center . I am fifting the witchdoctor jet tips , so can anyone see a problem . Why i cant use the earlier pipes . Cheers martyq . |

Posts: 1290 Ruskin, Fl | I just put L1S2 pipes from a 2008 on my 2013. They fit. As far as the center tip, I believe you are referring to the little extension on the newer style muffler. It is easy to remove by grinding off the the 2 spotwelds. Photos on page 14 of the custom exhaust tip thread.

Posts: 1066 Peru, IN | Michael --- Do the L1S2 exhaust pipes bolt right on your '13 or did you have to modify them in some way? I'm pretty sure I'll get the baffled Witchdoctor pipes this spring but if the L1S2 will bolt right on my '12 (and I found a set at a great price), I'd consider those. |

Posts: 1290 Ruskin, Fl | Well, I think they are supposed to. I could not get the rear bolt in. The pipe contacted the plastic for the rear valance on the side where the bolt holds it on. I bothered KevinX twice at the shop. He said that was not uncommon. I wasn't sure if I should dremmel off some plastic or enlarge the bolt hole. Kevin was a huge help. He advised going for the plastic is what he has modified in the past. Had rust concerns when grinding away metal. Long story longer, I ended up doing both. I took off as much plastic as I was comfy with and need a tiny bit more. I used a 1/4" bit and removed some material from the bracket the bolt goes through. After that, they went on easy. I also have a slight gap between the pipe and the body work.
Very happy with the look and they sound awesome.
