Has anybody that has the hitch-Doc hitch, cut the four bolts down?

I can't think of any reason why they need to be so long but that's why I'm posting here, the more heads, the better!

you could go to hardware store and buy the right length. No cut bolts and leave at lease three to four threads past nut

Ha Ha that's funny. I'm guessing that you do NOT have one of these hitches installed. There's no way I'm going to pull those bolts out and run another one up in its place. It's alright though, I decided to go ahead and run the nuts on them and they are now tight.

My main concern is that before installing the hitch, I would use that "hidden space" under the trunk to store things like side arms, slice of apple pie, etc. and now with four giant pokers sticking up... I'm going to have to be a little careful.

Thanks anyway for your input.
