Does anyone know why the Level 2 stage 1 pipes were discontinued?

Actually they're stage 1 level2 and my best guess is that Ma Vic feels the after market has responded adquately in aspect and Vic can redirect those assets else where.

My dealer told me they weren't selling enough of them. I have them and think they're great.

could be the after market is taking sales away from them. Or the unthinkable there coming out with something better.

I bought mine from an E-Bay seller for $400 and haven't looked back. After about 4k miles they have seasoned enough where they sound pretty good when you get on the throttle. Otherwise they are pretty quiet in normal operations. I do like the complete chrome look not having just the heat shields chrome. I also got a Rick Fairless chrome cross-over cover from Strokersdallas.com along with new chrome clutch and cam covers. Those three parts dress up the bike nicely.

I just bought a set on e-bay, but have not received them yet. New in box with new air filter, but flash card is missing for $300.00. I'm putting on a Power Commander V so I don't need the flash card any way. It seemed like a good deal to me.  I can't wait to hear them!

That's a great deal, mine really started sounding good after about 10k miles. I now  have 27k on them and I doubt I would change them for anything, they have a very nice throaty sound and I like the one piece design.

I have those on my bike and like them alot, nice low idle sound and crank the thottle and they sound off nicely, cruising they are low enough to you can hear your music without having to buy louder speakers.
