I was at a PGR mission the other day and a guy on a Spyder comes over to me and points to my Viv and says is that yours? Me: yes. He goes on to say last summer he rode from Calif. to Missouri with a guy, 72 years old, and the guy was riding a Vision. during the trip the Vision guy dropped it 10 times. 10 times the Spyder guy, much younger 50ish, helped the Vision guy pick the bike up. Spyder guy said first time he had seen a bike with tipovers and he could not believe that after being dropped 10 times the marks on the Vision were on the tip overs. He said if he was not so short 5' 4" he would buy a Vision. If I dropped my Viv that many times I would trike it |

Posts: 1632 Jasper, MO | If you see him again, tell him to get the Vision and put the reverse kit on it. I'm 5"5" , with a severe injury to my right foot, which reduces my reach to the ground on the right side by 4 inches, and really the only problems I have handling the Vision are when trying to back the thing up. I do not have, nor can I install, reverse on my '08 or I would have it. Reverse should be standard equipment on motorcycles this big and heavy, so us short folks could handle them easier. Did you ask him if he had actually ridden a Vision?

Posts: 166 Bullhead City, AZ | I was helping with demo rides in Laughlin 2 years ago riding sweep. I older gentle man dropped it twice. Once at a stop sign (his fault) and then when he brought it back to the parking lot some people not paying attention jumped into his lane and he dumped it trying not to hit them. The first time I showed him how to tip it back up and the second time someone else helped him. I heard him walking away muttering something about a checkbook found out that he bought a Vision that day. |

I don't see any financially viable way to do it. The frame was changed in 2009 to accommodate the reverse motor. There is literally nothing to bolt the motor onto on the 2008 frame. You would need to change the 2008 frame to a later style. It might be possible to jury rig up a mount. I'm pretty handy at making things fit, but with the price of the reverse kit running $1600 I'm not willing to experiment to see if I can make it work.
