Probably. If you get more air in AND more air out, you'll run lean without either a reflash or a fuel processor. Since the Visions stock exhaust already lets alot of air out, that doesn't fit in the equation. Now that you're adding a lot more air, it'll run lean (which is a bad thing). I've heard of some who just unplugged their O2 sensors but I wouldn't do that for long (if at all). VFC from WD is less than $300.

I put the thrush mufflers on my vision and my pipes have a lot soot on them . This bike seems like to me it runs pretty rich . If that is the case a little lean wouldn't hurt . Am i wrong ? My bike is an 09 and my buddies is an 11 and his are the same as mine .

I got mine flashed after I put the thrush mufflers on mine to go with the top plate I had added earlier. My mileage came back to where it had been before the additions and I like the extra power. Hope to do cams in the spring My pipes still have a lot of soot and only ran the bike a few hundred miles before the flash.

My '12 is still bone stock and I get quite a bit of soot. Must be another reason other than running rich.

Sooting comes mostly from cold operation, and hard running

So do I have to retune my bike if I add the top filter?

And that answers my question perfectly. I bought the bike in the middle of Sept so there have been very few riding days I would consider "warm" so far. Once it was broken in, I started getting a little hard on the throttle. (Kinda like a drag racer would feel. All that power.)

All that is required to get a cam party going is 3 or more bikes. When you guys have 3 or more bikes wanting cams then call me and I'll book the flight. Easy as that
