Hey guys 09 vision with atom bombs, ness twin sucks, victory stage 1 flash.
I keep getting annoying pop from the exhaust when upshifting only.
Does any one have the same issue?
How can it be fixed?

Everyone with aftermarket pipes on the Vision has this problem although some try to deny it. The louder the exhaust, the louder the pop. It cannot be fixed, it can be lessened to some extent but it will always be there.

Riding habits Steve. Move your shift points up or down, and see what happens

I like the popping on decel, call me weird... but I like it. Like they said, the louder your pipes, the louder the decel popping. Basically, you can't really hear them with the stock pipes, and the Ness Honkers sound like cannons. I currently have the stage 1 pipes and the popping is barely noticeable to me.

You could add an aic valve to help with the popping. Don't know about those rpms though. It will also improve low speed surging. If you add your bike mods to your signature we will know better how to assist you.

I only have the SL2 on my 08, I had pooping too and by dumb luck found that a different brand of fuel seen a big reduction in popping. Was hung up that Shell was the best, but one year they added nitrogen to our fuel north of the 49th. One day it was popping badly and I needed fuel with no Shell station for miles I filled up at Petro Canada station, while being very low. By the time I got back on the street the all popping was gone! I now never use Shell.
Just a thought and possibly a cheap and quick cure. Good luck!

It is 'how you drive' - when I'm lazy - I get pops. Drive a little more aggressively - NO pops.

S1L2 with atom bombs , lloyds top intake, perf front filter,, VFC III,, Check for exhaust leaks front to back ,, I also add lucas octane booster each tank to compensate for poor quality fuel,, it helps lots! Amost completely gone.

Only 2 ways to stop it. 1) Someone develop a reflash for the ECM to get rid of the emission tuning (probably not happening) or 2) put the stock mufflers back on and at least muffle the popping so you can't hear it.

What settings do you have your VFC-III at?  In my signature I have my current ones and if I don't pay attention to how I shift I have occasional pops.  When I shift over 3k zero pops.  I'm still tweeking my VFC settings so I'd like to know yours for testing and reference.

BTW, others please share your VFC settings and your setup.
