Posts: 126 Meadow, Texas | Also curious as to the damage to the Vision. But driving in those conditions - not my idea of a nice little casual ride through the mountains.
But to each his own as Opa said. |

Posts: 1290 Ruskin, Fl | I believe the guy riding in the video posted it about a year ago. Some of the comments about his riding gear were not very nice if I remember correctly.
On the same note, Sunday night I was riding with a friend returning from Thunder by the Bay. He rides a late 2000s HD dresser. While stopping for a light his rear wheel skidded. He fishtailed a bit and was almost stopped. At the last second his bike snapped 90 degrees and went over hard on the engine guards. The bike has no damage; however my friend wasn't so lucky. What looked like a minor mishap landed him in the ICU with a brain bleed, broken ear drum, and 3 broken ribs.
Fortunately he will make a full recover, except for maybe a hearing issue. Going to make me rethink my helmet use. I wear it 80 plus percent of the time. After seeing how messed up you can get from a crash like that will put me in the 100% no exceptions category.

Posts: 1 Lethbridge Alberta Canada | I know this area...he was riding the "Mount Lemon Ride" just outside Tucson Arizona going up to the ski hill. No snow in the valley of course but hit a nasty spot on the way up...and yes his choice of riding atire leaves some questions on the table for sure...lol. Ride safe and use your gear...never know when you may be thankful you were wearing the right stuff!!
