fuel pump whistle

jimtom Posted 2013-01-02 5:44 PM (#129085) Subject: fuel pump whistle Visionary Posts: 1308 Sand Rock, AL United States started making a whistling sound today as it primed up. it's an 08 with 40,500 on it. If it was the pump whistling you would have a air leak and bike wouldn't run right. I was told it was a " impending bypass" and was replace 4 years into my 5 year warranty. My bike is warrentied through July 2014. I had the dealer look and listen to it but as long as it is working the warranty will not cover it. My O8 warranty expired on December 7 so I am out of luck if it totally fails.
