Would anyone be interested in a mod that projects the new victory logo on the ground? I'm doing the mod, parts will be in this week.. Just curious if anyone else might want to do it, I can hook you up. I'm going to project it from my trunk area on my vision.

Thanks
Bill

Nah, tired of giving people free advertising. Does Vic pay you if you do that? LOL Or could you make it so you can change the message at will, and where the message displays? Could it display in the windshield of the slow car ahead of me saying, "PLEASE, GET OUT OF MY WAY!"

Have you completely debadged your bike, Max? If not, you're already advertising for Victory.

Yea, I know, and I have tried to de-badge. BUt have not had good results. But just cause I have the badge does not mean I have to add more free advertising. Remember when?

Perhaps, but if Bill can make something that projects the Vic logo on the ground (successfully), there's no reason he couldn't make something that projects anything on the ground. Think of the possibilities. A cross, your name, an iron cross, flames, a big arrow, the word STOP (to come on with your brakes)...the sky's the limit.

Here's a thought or idea, how about something that would project it on a wall? You could put it in your garage and shoot on a wall or what ever. A indoor bat signal or Vic signal.

Something like this?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJXJtTY21fY&feature=endscreen
Saw some cool laser projector beams that can do similar stuff. Not sure if there's enough height to mount under a motorcycle and get a decent projection-maybe in a saddlebag or fairing would work?

It's made to mount somewhat flush with the body. I'm going to mount it on the rear variance below the tail light I believe...than run wires up to a toggle switch..

That looks kick ass For about $70 you can count me in. Is that low voltage like a let that I would be able to keep it on like my LED lights? I'll need to show that off @ Harleys 110th up her in Milwaukee later this year.

Dr, those are flag mounts I got from a vendor ill find the name and shoot you a pm;
Victory hour, they are very low voltage, they are led and surprisingly look great in daytime as you can see. Even better at night.
I finally found a mod and did it first before anyone else lol
They are $73 with shipping! Shoot me a pm or email if you want one. I ordered a few extra in case anyone wanted some.

Nailer, i think you would have to find a way to open up one and put a clear or semi clear lens for it to project on.. worth a shot i guess.. ive never had one of the badges apart to see how easy it is to replace the outside lens..

No distortion while idling and can't see when riding. Here is a picture of the install from underneath the bike. Notice there is two holes. The empty hole was too far forward so I moved it closer to the tail light and now it can be seen with the right angle.

That is awfully neat-o. Price is right and would grab attention of everyone. Would you be able to make a template as far as where to drill the hole. I have a chrome rear and would only want to put the one needed hole in it.

Nice job Bill! Have you had to clean the lens from road dirt/grime? Am I right to think that the higher it's mounted, the larger the image? Is it optimized for a particular height to be in focus?

Yes sir Jeff you are correct! I didn't check for optimize just set it for what size I preferred. It was still In focus from bottom of trunk area. I wiped it off once from road grime, I'm gonna mount a little visor in front of it to see if that helps a little but it's not too bad so far!

I've been unable to get back here. The forum wouldn't let me on.
I tried sending PP but it kept getting kicked back.
I sent you a PM.
Is this a sign? Am I jinxed with this Vision?
I waited over 2 months for a custom EXPENSIVE part from a vendor. He posted photos of these things that others was getting but I wasn't getting mine.
Finally he refunded my money without me asking for it back. (I wanted the part more!)
I think he just got tired of me asking when I would get it. He promised it back in Dec.
I only asked every other week in an e-mail or PM and I asked nicely.

Now this fiasco on the other thing I wanted for the bike.
I'm beginning to think my Vision doesn't want new things added. It's jinxed.

Ok, i have to put a hold on orders. I can't get my supplier in California to return emails or calls. I have $800 worth of orders with him on these and other stuff and feel like im getting the run around. I will be returning monies until the order comes in, it's been a month and too long for my liking. I will let you know when i hear something asap.
Thanks

Just came acros your post and I think this is an awesome idea. Will you be able to ship one to Sydney Australia at all? Let me know the cost and payment options if that is the case.

Hope you get the orders straightened out. This is entirely too cool.

Managed to install the projection logo link below. Let me know if you are interested in getting one. Just realised I should twist the projection 180 degrees.

I posted pic's on my ( victoryhour ) gallery of the Victory LED logo. I put it on the right side of the bike so when it's parked it can be seen. Hooked it up to a toggle switch in the left tank box. I can use it with or without the blue LED's on. I might need to adjust it some.
