Punta Gorda, Florida | Noticed a rattle in the front fairing of my new to me '12 vision. Took it to dealer and mech. and I looked and listened. Vibration at 1800 rpm, the I saw the fuse access cover was off on left side. Asked mechanic what to do, he took it in and pulled the windshield, used a heat gun on fuse cover to install it. Dealer told me to call Victory and I did. Spoke to Pam and that was a frustrating experience, she turned customer service into an oxymoron.
After Christmas I went back to dealer and showed them the manual and how it described how to remove panel. They couldn't seem to figure it out, kept talking about upper fairing removal and what that would cost me (more than the $50 I paid for the guy to r/r windshield and replace the fuse cover). So I went out to the bike and pulled the access panel off and took it back inside and showed them. The service writer/parts guy said he would order a new fuse cover, and asked me what I wanted to do. I said I have to think about it, the whole thing was unprofessional and I'm not sure I trust them working on my motorcycle.
grrrrr...
I do have a couple of questions:
1.) the windshield access panel has a little play in it when I move it up and down in the center of the panel. Is there a way to tighten the panel or is this normal on the vision?
2.) the panel sticks up about an 1/8" over the left mirror. Right side is fine. Again, is there an easy fix, is this normal? Is it a warranty item?
I did a search and didn't find anything on the forum and didn't find anything.

| you could pull the two grommets out and turn them around or swap with outer side. |

| The front panel as you describe above has never fit very well on my 2011 Vision either...After a few attempts, at the dealer and myself, I gave up now I don't worry about the poor fit...Bike runs great and the little distractions from the fairing and trunk issues, I have put aside...Hopefully, Victory will improve on plastic quality control in the future...... |

Broken Arrow, OK | It sticks up like that because it was very slightly bent when removed.
It's tin. Remove it, bend it at the corner and reinstall it.

Ruskin, Fl | All 3 of my Visions had that on the left side. Not quite that bad but it bothered me. I was able to pop the right side in first. Than with my hand under the left side, about midway from center to left side. Push the end down and tweak it. Basically very carefully putting a slight bend. Again, very small adjustments at a time so not to do damage. |

1. Yes
2. You can bend that "bend" out yourself with the windshield cover removed from the bike. While off the bike; just carefully apply opposite bend pressure to the bent area until you get it to lay flat when installed. I had the same issue as well on the right side. |

| It's an easy fix very easy. Do one side at a time and a little at a time. Use a twisting motion like you see here http://www.thevog.net/photo/view_my/page_2/ it will work but dont go too much just do a little at a time and this will fix it. I have fixed over 20 like this and 6 at my dealers for a price. Dain

Anderson, IN (48mi NE of downtown Indianapolis) | Sometimes the outer edge of mine gets caught on top of the turn signal. That makes it look exactly like your pic. Might want to check it out. If yours is not caught then Dain's fix is the answer. |

Peru, IN | All the OEM covers are metal. I've rebent mine a couple times on my '12. It's also the radio antenna. Maybe the chrome ones are plastic? |
