Hey guys,

Today I went out for a ride on my 2009 Victory vision.
There where 3 identical repeating issues that happened. When i was waiting at a light. the bike electric shut off and it turned off the motor. the electric came back on but I had to start the bike. 3 times today what can be the issue here?

A low battery will do the same thing. If the bike as been sitting for more than 3-4 weeks the battery can get low enough to effect the system.

All Victorys act poorly and unpredictably if the battery isn't well charged.

DO NOT jump start the bike with a running car, or charge the battery with more than 2 amps. You WILL blow the rectifier.

How many non-factory installed accessories (heated clothing) were you running at once? You might be popping the breaker, because they do not normally fail.

I'd hit the auto parts store. Several years ago I needed a water temp sensing bulb for my YAMAHA VENTURE. The bandits wanted $85 and the customary '6 to 8 weeks' to get one. I left without ordering and on the way home blew the 'BULLSHIT' whistle and stopped in @ my local parts house. I had the part # and asked the counter guy if he could cross it for me, he pulled up the EXACT same p/n for a MAZDA 323 temp sensing bulb and it cost about $15, I had it installed within 5 minutes of getting home, it took me longer to get my helmet and gloves for a test 'er out run.
If it's automotive and electrical (not electronic), ain't much thats new under the sun

40 amp breakers are super cheap $2-$5, but they do not normally fail. I keep breaking mine on my Vegas, because I have so many things stuffed under the seat, so I have a few spares. They will reset, but I would check the battery first.

You know it's bad after you replace it and your problem goes away. As was noted above, they are dirt cheap at any auto parts store.

You've got to pull them up, I had to break mine or at least the ends to get it out, I didn't have new Black push pins to put back the new breaker so I used cable ties/zips in place of the Black push pins.

Same sort of thing happened to me about 2 years ago except I was driving home in summer evening rush hour traffic on a major highway in Dallas / Fort Worth when all of a sudden lost all electrical. I mean it just flat went kaput. Dealer had it for few days. Thought it was charging system but after all that I put a new battery in it and so far so good.

My amplifier fed from the ignition system also did this when the volume was turned up. The Vic dealer did it this way when installing the amp. Went direct to the battery to solve this.

Over the years I have seen:
Weak battery as stated above
Loose battery cable connections
Broken battery cable inside the double insulation
Bad ground at frame
Bad ECM
