Posts: 416 Prairie City, IA United States | I got a new set of the international turn signals as an early Christmas present. Last night, I spent about 1 1/2 hours trying to get the right turn signal out and ended up putting the front end back together giving up in frustration.
If anybody has done this install I sure would appreciate some guidance and pictures if you have them. |

I installed the INTL lens a couple months ago using section 3 from the manual. It's step by step w/ pictures even! I'd never had any of the bike apart before and I don't recall anything problematic during the install.
I can only guess you don't have the service manual or you wouldn't be here asking for help. Make sure you have the service manual, P/N 9923025 |

| No pictures when I did mine, but I don't remember it really being all that difficult. Where did you get stuck? Basically, the faceplate comes off, mirrors, grills, and possibly the speakers and speaker volumes (the big odd looking plastic housing behind them). Oh, and obviously the front access panel needs to be popped off. I think it took me maybe an hour per side, having never done it before that point. |

Thanks for reminding me that I downloaded a manual.
I have a 2008 manual. Does your manual say to take off the right and left leg fairings? Before they come off it says to remove the belly pan and fuel tank covers. That seems excessive to get to a single bolt that I can't reach. |

I had most of what you took off removed with the exception of the speakers and the volumes. I guess I should have went in another layer or two before throwing my hands up. I will give it another shot and see if I can whip this booger.
Thanks for the ideas! |

Yes. Actually, "clear turn signal lenses" IS the 'other' name for the international part. |

Posts: 1066 Peru, IN | Thanks for the info. I can't decide if I want clear, smoked, dark cherry or OEM lenses, front and rear on my bronze Vision. Body colored would be coolest but I don't know if I could pull that one off.

I think the amber & Bronze mist color are close enough that they don't "clash" like some of the other colors. Amber is in the same part of the color wheel. Clear might actually look worse IMHO. |
