Posts: 1365 Central Maryland | Want to install my new magnetic oil drain plug; but I have fresh oil in the bike. You think if I used the "tip overs" on the right side of the bike; that I would be able to remove the OEM plug and install the new one without any loss of oil? |

Better to just turn the bike upside down. That way access to the oil plug is easier too! LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL |

Just sayin |

Posts: 3773 Pittsburgh, PA | just wait.. its not like this drain plug will give you 10 extra Horsepower or anything so why risk/waste a fresh oil change.. there are people on here with over 100,000 miles and they dont have a magnetic oil drain plug so im sure if you wait, your engine will live to see another day.... |

| Yes, it can be easily done. She was not happy about this task, but my wife put on one of my latex gloves, then put her finger against the drain hole while I switched to my new "Dimple" plug. I had a drain pan just in case, but lost no oil and it was all done in seconds.
Your new drain plug will collect some mud at oil changes, but that's it. The Freedom engines are well made! Good luck!
