Flowery Branch Ga | I need some ideas to mount parade flags to my 8Ball Vision. I know i could mount a hith and use a custom made flag mount. Any others????

| You probably want to mount to the frame or trailer hitch. One of the guys in my PGR unit got some stress cracks in his Vic rear fender, due to the flags whipping in the wind on the freeway. |

| <div><br /></div><div> </div><p>I've been wanting to add flags for awhile to my Vision mostly because I do a lot of PGR missions. I did not want to have to buy a trailer hitch for the large flags and I did not like the idea of adding flags to my trunk rack as the flags would get in the way of putting luggage on the rack.</p><p> My solution - you know those flags people fly that are mounted via the car window? NFL flags, college flags? I bought one of those and mounted it on the saddle bag toward the back where the saddle bag meets near the rear tail light. voila - I've got a US flag and a POW flag, one mounted on each saddlebag. I have traveled probably few hundred miles on the freeway and no problem. I also think the flags raise my visibility with cagers as the flags are moving in the wind and the US flag is red and white blue. </p><p> </p>

San Francisco Bay Area | I have a 2012 Vision. I took the trunk off when I got the bike. I liked the sleek look. I also wanted to mount a flag. I had a stainless steel mount made that bolts to the trunk mount holes. The plate has a stainless tube welded to it that rises about 13 inches. I cut a hole in the filler panel and it looks custom made. Since its mounted to the frame," it ain't goin no where"..
I'm now going to attempt to include a pic. Pay no attention to the rider....  |
