| Just purchased 2013 Victory Vision Tour, 1 week ago. Have put 1000 miles on it already. Going in tomorow for the break in Maint. I know 500miles but I just could not get off of it and they could not get me in. I am also getting the driver back rest installed. I hope I like it. With the long days in the sadel I think it will be nice. So far enjoying the bike. Already looking for add ons, bluetooth, gps, sat radio. maybe CB. Not sure how many are using cb today with all the other technology. I have been enjoying reading all the post.
Oh I live in TX just west of Houston. Not seeing to many Visions on the road here but getting poitive feedback from all I talk too.
Throttle Thearapy is the way I treat stress.

Posts: 1290 Ruskin, Fl | Welcome. I too picked up a 2013 last Sat at 6 pm. Senset red with 1 mile on the ODO. About 20 miles short of 1000 miles already.
Did an oil change at 562. Just finished pulling the pipes and drilling a 1-1/8 he thru the baffle and unplugging the O2 sensors.
Sounds better but not as deep as my honkers were.
This is Vison number 3 for me with a combined total to 72,000 miles. I think you will be happy.

The usefulness of the CB will depend on who you ride with. In my case, I ride with a variety of bikes ranging from Sport Tourers to Harleys to Goldwings. Many of us have CB radios, factory on the Harleys and Goldwings, and J&M on the Sport Tourers, and we use them all the time. I have the factory CB on my Vision and a J&M on my Sport Cruiser. CBs are still very useful if you ride with others who have them. We can be strung out over 2 or 3 miles and still communicate. We don't ride in close formation--we're always separated by distance. Very useful when somebody needs gas or a pit stop, or for the rare flat tire. Also, the whole ride is a social event with the CBs. But that's just us.

Posts: 1290 Ruskin, Fl | It is my understanding that unplugging the O2 sensors keeps the fuel system in open loop mode and will richen the fuel mixture a bit. I only did this because I drilled out the baffle in the stock pipes to give me a little more sound until I get cams and a fuel controller installed next month. This was per KevinX. Jury is still out on exhaust mod. Sounds good at idle. Not as Loud and throaty as the Ness Honkers I had. On the road you can only hear them when you are on the throttle. |

I forgot all about this. I was going to do it, but never did. I think someone was going to try and get the
part numbers of the pieces to plug into the exposed holes? Isn't it if they are both unplugged, you are
good. It was called the best free thing you could do to a Vision.

Posts: 537 , FL United States | So. CW, what did you do with the 08? Did you trade it in on the 2013? I was thinking about a new bike... new Vision, if I did that I would trade it in, but if I kept the Vision I would look heavily at Conquest Custom or maybe a Highball.. |

Posts: 1290 Ruskin, Fl | I did. I went up to KevinX's shop in Gainesville to inquire about trading mine in.
I had been thinking about it for some time. I wanted ABS. Not missing the 21" front wheel. Looked great but didn't handle as well.
I had 54,000 miles on it. Trunk rattled and speaker enclosures squeaked.
Radio controls gave me fits. New radio and controls much better.
Fit and finish is top notch. I'm happy! :-)
I bought my first Vision new in 08. I do not remember quality control stickers and grease pencil marks on it. The new bike they are EVERYPLACE. I think they have vastly improved since I bought my first one.
Cams next month.

Thank you, but I was referring to the holes of plastic electrical plugs. I wouldn't unscrew anything
from the pipes, but I would unplug an electrical connection. Anyone have pictures of where they
unplugged the connectors?
I just had some work done, 2 hours away, and I am out of warranty now. It still runs like shiete.
I think richer fueled air might help.
The Kawasaki won't start either. All my local dealerships have closed. I am getting pissed at MC's
at the moment.
The almost 10 year old Goldwing is the best running thing I have, and the dirtiest. LOL
Thanks, Herb
