2013 XCT, after long decel on a exit ramp, down shifting as speed decreases, the engine will die. Has happened twice, each time I pulled clutch in and pressed starter button. Started no problem, with no other effects. Could be a serious problem if it catches you in traffic or when distracted. Any one else? Seems like I read something about a lean condition?

I have never heard of this before but I would have it checked out ASAP.......don't need a dead bike in heavy traffic!

My '08 vision was cursed with this gremlin the entire time I owned it. It didn't do it all the time, just when it was least expected. My XCT has not done this in 7K miles of riding.

Bike now has 700+ miles, and beyond break-in period. Every day it runs better, and quieter after oil change. I used Mobile 1 20W -50 full synthetic. Trans is less clunky, especially if I concentrate on smooth and precise shift points. Has not died again, but once yesterday I thought it might but caught it with a blip of the throttle.

Hi,
We are in France, and we have a forum too. http://victory-ridersfrance.forumactif.com/

Victory is in Europe for 2 years only, but we have the same problem. The engine dies ariving in a turn about or slowing down. In france we have only 650 Victory on the road, in the Forum we have 190 Victory's riders and 23 of us have this problem. It means 12%.
The problems exists in England too.
We are checking all people who had this mechanical problems in france to tell Victory to find why it's still happening.
I really think that Victory (US) has to find the origin of this problem. It could be really dangerous.

I have a freind I ride with that has a 2012 CCT with the same issue. He asked me to ride it for a few miles and see if I could make it do it. It didn't happen once during my ride and I rode it like I stole it as he asked. I have never experienced it on my Vision either.

My theory is riding style might play a part in the issue. He always blips the throttle on downshift and that is when it happens. I on the other hand, I do not do this when downshifting.

It might be worth a try if you do indeed crack the throttle when you downshift.

Mine would stall at times on decel found the connections at the battery loose - tightened them up and has not stalled since. However I checked the connections a couple of weeks later and they started to loosen up again so I installed 1/2" lock washers and it's been good.
