I've let my dealer do all the maintenance on the bike but I get it serviced every 3,000 miles (2 months) instead of 2,500 by the book.  They did the 10,000 service when I took it in at 9,000 miles.

Here's what they did:  Belt tension/alignment (it wasn't chirping), oil/filter change, air filter clean/re-oil (Stage 1/Level 1), check brake fluid/rotors/pads (not even half worn), fault code check, compression check, clean spark plugs (they were grey, still original, runs perfect.  I don't blip it or bog it.), check tires (will probably change the rear at 12,000), checked every switch, gauge and light on the bike.

Total time: 1hr 15 minutes

Total cost: $110.00  (My other check-ups were between $90-100)

Peace of mind until the next visit....priceless.

That seems more than fair. Your lucky to have a dealer you can trust to actually do all them checks. The peace of mind is priceless.

Im going to need my 500 mile checkup here in a day or so. I know ill have to make an appointment for them to see it, so i was thinking about doing the oil change part of it myself. And then when they have the time they can check all the nuts and bolts. I also want to do the oil change part myself because my dealer doesn't carry Amsoil.
