Posts: 43 Connecticut | Finally got around to putting chrome caps on the primary and engine. Looks a bit neater. Then, because I ride with a tough crowd, (read that as rude) I got the it looks like a boat, looks like an insect and worst of all, looks like a Goldwing, I tinted the front signal lights black which changes the whole look of the front end and very neatly blends those lights into the fairing. |

Posts: 223 Valdosta, GA | You can tint the lenses with a product called VHT Niteshades. Read the instructions carefully, prep the surface meticulouly, and apply light coats. I would go no more than two coats, then give a couple of days to set up to see if you want to go any darker. I hit my Jackpot brake light with three coats and initially it was great. But, after a couple of days, it darkened up and in a direct sunlight the brake light might have well not even been working because it couldn't be seen.

Posts: 43 Connecticut | Finally, the dealer promises Vision parts delivery by wednesday. Hope he's right this time. Can't stand the sound , or lack thereof, of the exhausts. Need stage 1 badly! |

Posts: 496 Scottsdale AZ | mike s - I have some interest in the VHT application, however knowing me, I will have it uneven, to much on one lense, not enough on the other, etc. I can see me ordering 4 extra sets of lenses from Victory to get it right. Did you have a lot of trial and error with this? Thanks, I do think it enhances what I see on Corys bike. |

Posts: 223 Valdosta, GA | Applying the NiteShades is fairly simple. Just take your time and apply light coats. Since it bonds with the plastic (as opposed to coating, like paint), it's a bit more forgiving. Follow the directions to the letter and you shouldn't have any problems. I haven't done the Vision yet, but I'm sure it'll happen before too long...

Posts: 1324 So Cal | Had three days of rain last weekend. Decided to try and paint the panel below the windshield. Got the primer/sealer on and a couple of coats of black. It was a little too cold and the color was taking forever to set. Its all color sanded and ready for clear coat. Doesnt look bad with the flat finish but I know a coat of clear will protect it better. |

Posts: 550 Tacoma, WA | I am thinking of powdercoating all my aluminum pieces black once my chrome ones come in...whenever THAT will be! I think it will give a great look, and durable "winter" parts. I wanna do the console for sure, as I don't like the reflection in the 'shield when the sun shines here. (read that BOTH weeks of summer)----Metalguy |

Posts: 1324 So Cal | I agree with you on the console. I think there's pictures here somewhere, one of the Ness bikes has a blacked out console, looks good. I got the color and clear coat on my panel below the windshield. Gonna let it cure a few days befor final sanding and polish. Looks pretty good. |
