In an earlier post I mentioned that I had developed a ticking/grinding noise on start up that went away after engine warmed up. A little pertinent info, 2011 Vision with 20K on it, daily ride. Maintained to manufactures specifications. The noise started around 10K and I let the dealer listen to it, he said bring it by when you have a week or two to leave it. So I finally made the time to drop it off 3 weeks ago and this is where we are:
1.) First suspected starter drive, put new one in and the noise is still there.
2.) Second suspect..... bearing in transmixer going out, pulled clutch pack and start engine, noise is still there.
3.) Next step is to check oil pressure when engine cold to see if oil pump is up to snuff and giving oil as it should.
Thats where I am at now, waiting to hear from the dealer. He said that total engine tear down and replacement of all scared or damaged parts is possible.
Now here is where I messed up, dropped it off 5 days after my factory warranty expired, but I have the Polaristar 4 year extended. Dealer said there should not be a problem. I am holding my breath.

Hope it comes out good for you. I have had to use the extended warranty and it does work as advertised

Built in turkey call.
But watch out it hurts to hit one at 60+ MPH.
