How much power would you like to see out of your Vision?
Stg 1 being around 86-89hp and 103-108 ft lbs of torque.

Would you consider doing Motor work while under warrenty?

If NO Would you consider an engine upgrade after warrenty?

Is by-passing the speed limiter of high importance to you?

Whats more important? Highest fuel economy - More Power - Comb. of both

Whats more important? A quiet Vision - A powerful Vision - Combo Quiet & Powerful

Would a reliable 112-115Hp / 120-125 ft lbs Vision that gets 40+ MPG be something you would consider?

I would love to have the motor from my Vulcan 2000 which puts out 110 HP and 140 torque. If I could get that out of the Vision without losing significant MPG, I'd do it. Problem is that's likely not possible. So, I'll stick with what I have because my MPG is already suffering enough because of my high speed riding. What I love about more HP/Torque is passing on twisty two lane roads. I love to twist the throttle and have the bike take off like a scaulded cat. The Vision just doesn't have that kind of power. But, I much prefer riding the Vision to any other bike so I just bide my time when passing.

I guess I'm mellowing with age. The power seems fine to me. The roll on speed is good in 6th. Could be better. One up I'm getting 45-47 mpg on the highway. Wouldn't want to sacrifice any of that. Could use a cup holder though.

I would say YES to all the questions. I have all ready been scouring the internet to see if anybody is making a set of after market cams for this engine ! I would like something along the lines of a "Screaming Eagle" package for the Vision !

Could be better, huh? Maybe you've not mellowed so much. I average between 34 and 36 MPG on the highway and I've gotten as bad as 28 or 29. 90 MPH is my normal cruising speed, though. I would like to be able to ride 250 miles before I have to get gas. The only way I could do that is if I drove 55 MPH. I can't drive 55! That's a song, right? The Vision definitely has more power than most stock bikes and is more than adequate. It would be nice, though, to be able to twist the throttle and have it throw me into my Utopia backrest as if I were being launched off an aircraft carrier.

I was mightily impressed with the S&S filter and recal. for the 100 ci engine. Cheap, and made big, big difference. After the local techs went to school and figured out how to load and tune it, that is.

I would be interested in something like that, simple and effective, but realize that it probably isn`t a realistic expectation for this engine. I`m less interested in more invasive procedures that void the warrantee and cost big-ass bucks.

Have been waiting on plain old S1 L1 for 6 months!!!!

I thought I removed the Cut, Paste and e-mail section out my reply but it didn't. We can continue the thread on the site. It was only this first e-mail back in June that I wanted to keep confidential.
We'll be posting shortly the graphes of the HOH-VM1 cams and higher compression. I'm sure a REAL good package will be the HOH-VM1 cams with a 110 kit. Maybe by spring if we get any takers.

I responded vie email as requested, but in general I would love more power with good mileage, as long as the reliability of the bike is not compromised in any way.

For what I use mine for the power level is fine BUT I would sure LOVE to have the rev. limiter raised. I've bounced off it too many times to count.

Hmmm....would 120 and 130 be to much to ask for?

Would you consider doing Motor work while under warranty?

Yes, but only by a professional with a business. This way if there are possible issues from the dealer they are in for a tough fight because the work was by a professional.

If NO Would you consider an engine upgrade after warrenty?

Heck yea. Might even do it myself !

Is by-passing the speed limiter of high importance to you?

Well...if you will promise not to tell any local authorities....I might be more inclined to answer this as a YES.

Whats more important? Highest fuel economy - More Power - Comb. of both

For me its more power. Even a small to somewhat small amount of fuel economy has to be sacrificed.

Whats more important? A quiet Vision - A powerful Vision - Combo Quiet & Powerful

Noise doesn't bother me much. So if more power equals more noise then so be it.

Would a reliable 112-115Hp / 120-125 ft lbs Vision that gets 40+ MPG be something you would consider?

Consider????...its my goal !!! And more than willing to be below the 40+ MPG in order to have anything more than 110Hp...and is it possible to have that much torque? I believe in the theory of "Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you drag the wall with you" and since torque is what GETS you moving and horespower is what KEEPS you moving I always want more torque !!
