I saw that story on facebook, I had to laugh at the Harley riders comments.

I read the article and then 'voted' whether they made the right choice or not. You won't believe the results. Vote and find out

"If you don't ride a Harley, you don't ride a motorcycle," he said. "To each their own, but a Harley's a Harley. There's nothing like a Harley. They're the ultimate."

There was a day...

I met someone yesterday who looked at my vision the same way that "if you don't ride a Harley, you don't ride a motorcycle" guy thought. It was fun to point out that my bike was cheaper than his ultra, more reliable, easier to maintain, got better gas mileage, didn't need to be modified to fit me, and was more American made than his bike.
That said I have one Harley that I will never let go of, even when I get too old to ride it I will keep my 1947 flathead. Of course that's a different beast than modern HD's.

The comment about not being able to find a Victory owner is funny also.

"If you don't ride a Harley, you don't ride a motorcycle"

That type of thinking alone will prevent me from even considering Harley in the future.

I am a die hard pro buy American advocate, but I will buy Foreign before I will support an attitude like that.

I want to drive a Victory like the Cops do. Mike told me for a price he would set me up to learn to do this. I will be home for Christmas but not sure if he wanted to supply the bike (I am flying in to Tucson or Phoenix). Will follow up as I think this would be huge even on the road while crusin down the hiways and byways.......
