Posts: 482 Beer Collins, Colorado (there is no fort) | It's been into triple digits along the front range for the last few days so I split over to the Western slope for some lake trout fishing Thurs/Fri/Sat and left the Fort early and headed up to Indian Peaks Wilderness Area-it was 68 at 6am and down to 56 degrees riding along the creek in the forest at about 8,000 ft-like standing in front of the AC. Took a pic of the church on the rock and on up to Brainerd Lake- caught nothin' but baby trout but it was a perfect 66 degrees with a few sprinkles-cruised on over Peak To Peak hwy and hit a good thunder storm complete with lighting & hail-temp dropped to 53. Had to stop at Black Hawk and warm up in the casino for a while-took the fast way home to avoid more rain and the short run of 99 degree temps felt good as I wound my way back to the Ponderosa- It's a damn shame I have to go back to work tomorrow-Brian

Posts: 51 Arizona | Riding and fishing. Sounds like a great way to cap off your weekend. Nice photos.
Its been two years, since both my wife and I made our trip through Colorado.
One of the best adventures I had on a bike in a long time. |

Central Wisconsin | Brian, Nice pics! Was there a small user fee for the Brainerd Lake area? I didn't get a chance to fish but I sure enjoyed the water ;-)

Posts: 482 Beer Collins, Colorado (there is no fort) | Way to stay cool Tom! There's a fee-I don't know what it is. I always buy an annual interagency national parks pass and it gets me in here & whole bunch of other places-See you on the road, Brian |
