Saw somewhere? That there are specific models, brands, ect..... that work much better than others with the controls? Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

I've used the hell out of my Gen 4 Nano on the Vision- I got 2000 songs jammed onto it (had to delete all the album art to make max tune room) It just stays on board all the time & works great.

Hi, I use a generation 2 on my '09. If you use a gen 2 or gen 3 it will stay charged up from the bike. If you use a gen 4 or higher it will not charge the i-pod while hooked up to your bike. The reason is that apple changed the voltage on the gen 4 and up. The '10 and newer vision take a completely different cord and will charge the newer i-pods. You can find great deals on re-man i-pods @ game stop .com.

Wish you could have the iPod and mp3 cord at the same time! But guess you would need 2 aux inputs then... Just a tired thought

There is an adapter to charge the later generations. Look for Radioteachers advice on it . He gives all the details .
