Just purchased a 2008 Vision with 5000 miles. After much research I decide that Super Steel Grey Vision is the fastest color. I replaced a 2007 Yamaha Royal Star that was backed over by a dump trunk. After riding that beast this beast is no beast. Engine heat, no more than the Royal Star. Clunky shifting, about the same as the Royal Star. Engine/ drive train noise, my royal star had extra loud gear whine. My Vision is an incredible bike. handles great and very comfortable. If it lives up to Victory's reputation for quality it will be along happy relationship: no dump trunks. The only complaint so far is the time it takes to fill the tank.

Just hopped on mine yesterday and noticed there wasn't anything wrong with it. Dead smooth at 2250 RPM in 6th on the slab @about 65 mph. Stretched out like a teenager on the telephone, I wondered why some of you guys need to add highway pegs. I'm 6'2" and have gobs of room.

Welcome to the world of Visions. You will most certainly come to enjoy this bike very much.

Don't worry about the slow fill rate for the split fuel tank...the thing that will really slow you down at gas stations is the time it takes to answer questions from those who have never seen a Vision before.

2 knee surgeries and one back surgery can do that to you. JB Hatch's highway pegs mounted on the front tip overs makes mine the most comfortable bike on any planet!

The Vision out of the box for most folks is the most comfortable bike on the planet. The only option I wish that came with the Vision is "in-ride refueling". Heading on a 500 mile round trip tomorrow without hesitation. I'll roll on 121,000 miles around 5:00am 7/21/2012. Enjoy and welcome to Vision World.

Ride hard, ride long, ride safe.

I'm the same height and don't need pegs either but there are those that need or enjoy them. I think if I ever put any on it would the heel blades.

I am just a little over 6 foot and I like the highway pegs just to get some air on my legs and feet. The Vision blocks so much air that it helps cool you down to use the pegs. I rode 200 miles yesterday and part of it in a lite rain, never put on the rain suit and didn't really get wet.

Welcome to the Fold.

The Vision is truly and amazing bike! I love mine.

As for highway pegs, its just one more place to put your feet when your riding.

Every time I toss my leg over the vision its seldom for less than 400 miles, I also like to ride tank to tank, so sometimes its a long time between stretching. With the highway pegs its juts one more place to put my feet.

In fact, with tall boots, I rest the back of my leg on the pegs and straight knee it to stretch out on the long rides.

I rode in the rain yesterday with a friend on a chopper that got soaked.  The guy on the HD and I on my Vision wasn't even wet, but the Harley rider did have on his rain gear...and his cool patch vest and jacket on underneath.  I was riding with just my cool, no patch vest, Victory T-shirt and blue jeans.

Welcome to the world of VV! At 6'4" I would not mind highway pegs that were out in front of the tip overs. When I rode over to London Ont, for a VOG meet a couple weeks ago, there was a VV that had been modified to mount pegs off the top of the tip overs that extended up and out. They looked like the ticket. Now I wish I would have taken photos of them..no complaints/concerns at all.

For me, Victory has put together the perfect touring machine. Reliable, powerful, comfortable, fun and everywhere I go, people stop, stare and always have to say "wow, I like your bike!". At scooter events, HD types can not help but stop and gawk. I love it!
