Posts: 33 Georgia | I thinking of changing the exhaust on my 2012 Vision Tour. I want a slightly louder than stock exhaust while maintaining a stock or near stock look. I've been looking at the 45 deg slash cut D&D slip ons. Has anyone installed these and if so what are your thoughts on them? Did you have to remap the ecu and do they pop on decel? I'm also considering the S1L2, any thoughts on these? |

Posts: 499 Chattanooga, TN | I love my D&D's! They are louder than stock but less pop and not at all "tinney" sounding like the S1L1 or S1L2's. Not obnoxious, not just a bunch of noise. Just a really nice, deep rumble. From what I hear, you do not need a remap, but the D&D's come with a sheet or something explaining all that. I'd recommend an IAC valve whether or not you go with the exhaust since it improves low rpm/off idle performance for a more controlled feeling and less engine surging at low rpm's (like in a parking lot) due to fuel starvation. I have the whole cam package and realize you don't want to waste a bunch of money so just starting with a good exhaust and AIC valve would be a wise choice. |

Posts: 33 Georgia | Thanks for the reply baadawg, your input really helped my decision especially the part about the s1L1 & L2 sounding tinney, I haven't heard that before and I definitely don't want that sound. So how about the D&D at hwy speeds does it over power the radio?

| I have s1l2 on my 08 and after about 10k they come into their own. I almost replaced them but I read somewhere that after a 10k burn in period they sound really nice. I'm glad I waited. |

Posts: 59 Austin Texas Yaaaalll | I have them on my 2011. I love them. They are a full slip- on, not a muffler hiding behind a heat shield. I mounted the slip- on and then had the dealer do an S2 flash to the ECU per D&D instructions. Louder than stock but not as loud as the Thundersticks or Atom Bombs. |
