Posts: 466 Grand Cane, LA | For those interested in a flip windshield and haven't been able to get one from Arlen Ness, Gustafsson Plastics now has one that fits the Visions better. I recently purchased one from them and it didn't quite fit right, but now they have it perfected. I sent them my stock windshield and they now have a mold for our Visions. They sent me a replacement using their new mold and it fits great. You still have to drill your own holes, but now it is much easier with the new shape. They offer them in different heights as well as different shades and clear. This is one of the best aftermarket parts I have put on my bike. Now I can look clearly over my windshield and still have the same wind and rain deflection as the stock shield. |

Posts: 466 Grand Cane, LA | The 15 1/2 is actually shorter than the stock height but has the same wind deflection as the stock height shield. Zach with Gustafsson says they can make it any custom height you want. |

Posts: 466 Grand Cane, LA | I just posted some pics in the gallery of the dark smoke shield on my bike. I took a couple different views to give a better perspective of how it looks. The album is Flip Windshield from Gustafsson under the name atvtinker. |

| That is a large flip can see where the 15" would do as much as stock.
I'm not drilling any holes not with my aim. |

Posts: 466 Grand Cane, LA | Actually drilling the holes is pretty easy. The best way I found to do it was to take the bracket that holds the windshield off the bike and clamp the new shield to the bracket and then mark or drill the holes with it attached to the bracket. And of course, always use a glass/tile bit for drilling plastic and a slow speed. The first shield Gustafsson sent me had too much curvature to the shield and made it really difficult to get the holes right, but now with the new one they made from my old windshield it was very easy. |

Posts: 466 Grand Cane, LA | Gary, I tried to get Clearview to make me a flip and they said there was not enough interest in it unless I could get enough people to request one, that's why I chose to go with Gustafsson after Arlen Ness backordered my original one. |

Posts: 59 Austin Texas Yaaaalll | Okay so now I have a Ness backordered too....for the last 3 months. I am interested in the Gustafsson, I think I can drill it but what I want is to get the top edge of the stock windshield out of my line of vision and get rid of buffeting. I am 5'9. What height flip will work for me? Thanks |
