Posts: 1290 Ruskin, Fl | I struggled with a new fron tire last year. I wanted to try something other than the E3. The only thing avail in 130/70-21 for the front was the E#. Had many discussions about if I shoud mix bias and radial. I decided on another E#. I got 16,000 out of it and it's time again. Well now Metezeler make that size in radial. I have 400 miles on it so far and am happy so far.
My point is that I just noticed that the 2012 Hard Ball comes with an E3 radial on the rear and an Elite II bias on the front. I guess it is OK.
This is the specs from the website.

Posts: 71 Willmar, MN | I put an E3 bias front on last year and I think that it handles better than with the radial. Don't ever put a radial on the front and a bias on the rear though. |

The last 2 were taken yesterday with the new ME 880 radial. Since the first 2 were taken I have replaced the rotor bolts with polished stainless allen heads. Looks 10X better.

That's what I've always heard too. |

Posts: 466 Grand Cane, LA | And why would it make a difference/ Been running an American Elite Bias on the rear and a Conti-Motion radial on the front for a year now and haven't had a problem. I believe the argument about mixing radials and bia-ply tires comes from not putting them on the same axle like on a car. It doesn't apply to bikes unless you have a trike, then you can't put a bias and a radial on the wheels with the common axle. |

Posts: 1340 Gainesville Fl Home of the Gators | Used to run radials on the front and ply on the back of my drift car. The traction differential was so great. The front would grip and the rear would slip. No chance I would run that combo on anything short of a stunt bike. |

i went to them because they are a half mile fron my house. They have a storefront but only do mail order. Since I was there they were great and took care of me. Bolts they had had ridges on the top and they polished them while I waited. Rare to
find great customer service these days |
