Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | I'm not really sure what to make of the new badge on the vision. It's really not deco art inspired in my opinion and seems rather bland. I like the fact their is no Polaris 1954 on it. I think that if there is enough response that perhaps we could shake the boys in the front office to give us something that speaks volumes at first glance. What are your thoughts.

Posts: 3773 Pittsburgh, PA | I like the new badges. Meaty strong looking.. I never noticed how cartoonish the one we have now are.. Plus the wings is kind of a copy of HD & i dont see the point o fthe globe in the background. I know its sold all over but what isnt in a global economy? And for me most of all i like how they dont mention Polaris. i get people all the time who may not like polaris and then see their name under the Victory logo and said oh its made but the atv people.. I think Victory might gain a little more respect by Not being linked directly to a snow mobile and atv company. (I personally have nothing against Polaris) |

Then they change the Logo of their Original MC company.
Makes no sense to me personaly.
The new badge is OK.
I liked the lighted logo on my 08 Vision and on my 11.
I won't change the badging on my bikes.
If I buy a new one I guess I will have get used to the new Badge or Just buy a Triumph T-Bird Storm . |

I think they're stabbing at a spectrum. Victory is also pushing toward the 1%ers and will be in the movie "Dead in 5 Heartbeats" based off of Sonny Barger's book of the same name. Also, Son's of Anarchy will have in season 5 Victorys, and it is rumored Sonny's Vision will be in a few episodes. Of course we can all make of things what we want to make out of it. It is still the dollars that will doing the voting.... |

Posts: 752 Broken Arrow, OK | I'll keep my lit badges thank you BUT I'm diggin' the new logo. I can see that puppy going large in some patches sewn on the back of my shirts, vests, etc. Cool looking logo to me, great for Vic clothing.
Why not 3D that thing and throw some LED's in it.

I'm with you. Glad I have the lighted badges. But the new logo is a much cleaner design and will definitely stand out on clothing. Taking the "Polaris est 1954" was also a good design choice. |

Posts: 262 Flowery Branch Ga | I like them both for differnt reasons. The 1% is a small but good market to go after as people try to copy that look. Look at HD in recent years. It's no surprise that there will be Victory's on SOA. HA advises for the show, Sonny Barger is huge in HA, he and Arlen Ness are close friends and he in huge with Victory.

For me it's all about how them "wheels on the bike go round 'n round". What ever badge comes on my next Vision will be as insignificant as the one on my '08. |

I always thought the Victory script was the best & classiest logo. I've had it on my '99 almost since day one and still think it's the best looking. The lighted badges are cool but a lighted script badge would be nicer-I'll have to start working on that-Brian

Posts: 154 Cabot Arkansas | I think the old lighted badge looks better on the Vision.Glad I bought a new 2012.Especially since kevinx didn't mention anything about new quick release trunk and bigger bags or a BIGGER motor or air condtioning or new style motorcycle tires that last longer than car tires or the new Victory fully synthetic oil that goes 5 years or 50k miles between changes and new paint that never has to be washed or waxed !
Sorry I couldn't make myself stop |

I am dissappointed in Polaris for cutting cost on the Vision. |

Better buy a few replacements, wont me too long before they are discontinued.
But then again......it might not be too hard to come up with a custom/one of a kind replacement. The wires are already there, just replace the bulb and put on a new face. |

BUT !!! - Victory is THROWING OUT it's connection to the WORLD - and going "USA USA USA" like a goddamned chant at the Olympics. Which sounds something like "WE ARE LIKE HARLEY" "WE ARE LIKE HARLEY" "WE ARE LIKE HARLEY". Well folks, STUFF THAT !!!!
I am CANADIAN - and proud to drive the BEST MOTORCYLE IN THE WORLD - and I announce to all who ask - "It is from POLARIS and is Made In The USA".
This new badge throws out the WORLD map - and throws out POLARIS - and throws out the 58 years of HISTORY of the company. that's BULLSHIT ....
and 'teeny brain' thinking - and that is so sad. Sorry ... IMHO

you are right polaris does have 58+ years of history as a atv company etc.. Victory on the other hand does NOT have all those years so having something say 1950 something on our badge is useless and borderline misleading if you are referring to Victory, the bike people would be talking to you about at that time.. its not like victorys' are using polaris's motors and what not from their 50+ years of experience so the years mentioned means nothing. and you would have to be insane to NOT try and use the MADE IN USA to your advantage. in this economy with so many people out of work and so many jobs going over seas, Harley used the hell of of that slogan and its done them pretty well.. even now with their bikes being less and less (Made in USA) people still say it proudly.... I hear all the time i buy Harley cause its American made.. if thats the only reason why they buy HD then now they have another option...
Im sure if Victory thought mentioning the 1950's on their product was to their advantage they would use it! it sounds alot better than 1998/99. but its not true.. victory didnt come out then.. and if you dont like atvs and what not Who Cares when an PowerSports company was created..

Posts: 619 Southeast Iowa | The new badge does not impress me..........it looks like a lot of V8 styled logos from days gone by. The Victory "Tank Badge" had brand recognition that took 13 years to develop now for some reason the want to start over. They must have hired a new Marketing Manager that needs to earn his keep.
The good news is they will need a whole new line of shirts and coats. |

Posts: 499 Chattanooga, TN | It's starting to grow on me. I kind of like the nostalgic symbol/throwback to an earlier time. I really never did like the old symbol, and saw it as an obstacle to the brand, but their performance sold me. However, the phrase "The New American Motorcycle" doesn't really match the new badge which has a '50-ish style to it. I don't think the removal of the world is a slight to anybody except people who need one more thing in the world to get upset about. |
