| Hi All,
Today I noticed my cruise light starting to blink when on acceleration. Cruise is set to off and when you let off of the gas the light goes out. MMMMmmmm. Light does not stay on steady...more like really fast blinking with rpms. Anyone have any ideas?
Bad thing is that it eventually stopped, which means dealer wont be able to find it...darn on/ off problem.
Any suggestions appreciated...maybe I can check something out myself. Should mention, 2011 Vision Tour. Cruise works as normal and light will stay on when engaged.

Pittsburgh, PA | im just guessing.. what if you pulled the connections on your battery for a few mins then reconnect it? would resetting it help at all? |

| I'm guessing you have a bare wire that is shorting. The switch cube is a printer security board and maybe a drop of water in it. |

| I can try...seems like a short in the switch. No water has hit the bike in weeks. One other question for anyone...when I hit the cruise "on" button the cruise turns on...but when I hit again, it turns it off. It would seem that the on button would turn it on, and the off...turn it off.
Is this a toggle, or a designated on/ off switch. Seems like a stupid question, but if its not supposed to work like this, could lead/ point in a direction.
I have always hit on for on and off for off. Never checked to see if "ON" would toggle on and off.
It is also very humid out when this happens...has happened one time before for a brief 10 seconds.
Good point about the printer style board...may see if I can split it open and check.

That part is normal, that is, it toggles, at least it does on my '08.

Bluff Park, Alabama - God's Country! 2011 PW VV | Mine works that way too. I had my cruise go out after riding in rain for 4 hours. Took it in and it was an adjustment in the cable. Bike had <500 miles on it, but it has not done it again with >3500. I have seen many reports on the cruise on the 2011 VV. Take it in and let them run the digital wrench. Will be covered under warranty if needed! Good luck! |

| Dealer says theyve seen new ones on the showroon have the issue. Looking into it for me. Will keep posted. |

Cruise Dash light coming on when cruise is off
