Posts: 22 jokelahoma city, jokelahoma | Ok I have had this issue from day one off the floor.
I am taking it in and getting it written up for the noisy trunk rattle.
My dealer will fix it there great guys.
I did some tapping around on the trunk and noise comes from all over the dang thing.
first the latch is where most of the noise is coming from,2nd black plastic pieces need foam tape under them as they rattle,3rd I had a loose lh bulb assembly it was actually a stripped out screw hole,4th the hinges rattle as well it is loose like a old barn hinge. The pin is not tight at all through it.
please post your problems with trunk rattle. |

Posts: 332 Dale, Indiana | All my screws have one by one taken their turn in falling out!
They seem to stay when I put them back in and really tighten them down. Plus, my trunk latch seems to need some adjusting since lately I can hear it bounce when I hit a rough spot on the road.
Really hasn't been a bugger to me. Guess that's because I see my smiling face in the mirror when I open the trunk!

Posts: 294 rhode island | Started hearing a few rattles the other day, I removed the trunk and put the access cover on....no more rattles.
It was time for a change anyway.

Posts: 25 Gilbert, AZ | I've narrowed down the rattling noise to the tour pack hinges. They seem loose as hell. I can't see any way to fix the problem either. If anyone has any ideas, I'm listening...<g> |

The other day on the Goldwing board, there was a discussion regarding Loctiti and
the nylon on lock washers. It was decided the Loctite was bad for nylon. I would
imagine it might be bad on our Vision's plastics. |

Posts: 266 Stockton, Ca. | I had vibrating noise from idling. The dealer tightened the hinge bolts and we are good to go. That was about 3 months ago and it is still good. |
