Starting to have a problem with the button not opening the latches all the way and the trunk being hard to open.
I have tried WD-40 and Silicone spray. I can get the latches to open all the way with my fingers, but fell like something is "catching"

Anybody run into this?

Do you have any of the after market ideas that try to keep the trunk from rattling?? Some of these "so-called fixes" like moulding in the trunk lower case channels, rubber bumpers near latch, heater hoses stuck in the holes on top of trunk, etc. can cause the latch to not fit right and make the button latch not work properly...Check this out first, then try the dealer I guess....I have the moulding strip and rubber bumpers in my trunk and no problems so far, but both have only been installed a few months.......Good Luck
