Posts: 94 Las Vegas | I have a 11 VV 8 Ball. I want to add music. I just want to use my IPhone. With the IPhone I can play MP3s, Pandora and radio stations though Tunein. What do I need? Speakers of course. Amp? What kind of cable do I use to run to the Iphone? Electronics is my weak point. I would have help installing but I need to know what to get.
Thank you

They make a unit with helmet speakers and one for earbuds- the earbuds do a great job of minimizing road/engine/wind noise. The charge will last all day, I haven't been able to kill it in a days ride yet & they come with a cigarette style power cord if you can wear it down. |

If you always wear a helmet.....then Id simply add some speakers inside your helmet. My girlfriend rides a BMW and she has a set in her helmet, plugs her phone into the cable and puts it in her pocket.
You could mount your phone to the bike with a RAM mount and power it if you wanted to......then still run a simple coiled cable. Shouldnt be in the way, thats how most motorcycle intercom systems work.
Cheaper and easier then installing a full out motorcycle audio system.....only to put a full face helmet on and cancel out half the sound. |

Posts: 249 Phenix City AL. | I would be careful about saying you are going to put speakers in your helmet, MR Safety OSHA guy will flame you...... any way, when I had my TC, I used a small amp with a mp3 adapter, ran my Ipod threw it. It was one of the cheap amps off ebay, worked good for what it was. My ipod had a remote that was water proof (I jet was the name of the company) the remote was very easy to use, the ipod was in the bag with the amp. |
