Posts: 70 Central Victoria, Australia | Hi guys,
i have fitted a LED light bar to the topbox on my 2010 VV.
I have looked at the 99 LED install and that is all good.
The LED has indicators as well, i just would like to ask what coloured wires am i looking for in the loom?
Also i am fitting LED indicators, i want to know do I have use inline resisters, so i have the same "load" for the indicators to work correctly, i have been told yes and no.
Can anyone please confirm?
thanks in advance
Phil. |

As long as you are not replacing the stock bulbs with LED's in the tail light "V" you will not need load resistors.
What will your LED light bar do? Stop light, turn lights or both?
To find the wire bundle check out this post. http://www.vision-riders.com/bb/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=4824&pos...
For a 2008 Vision the input wires are:
Brake Input Power - WHITE/PINK - Connects to the RED Input wire.
Right Turn Signal Output - BLUE/RED - Connects to the BROWN Input wire.
Left Turn Signal Output - BLUE - Connects to the VIOLET Input wire.

Posts: 70 Central Victoria, Australia | Hi rt,
The light bar does stop on middle LEDs and indicate on either side, it can do tail light but I only want the brake.
Not as big as the 99 ,24 all up

john frey is correct. Use a test meter to make sure you are connecting the correct wire to the brake light. To test the brake wire, tie a string to the front brake lever and you can pull the string/lever to activate the brakes.
Did you find the wire harness? |

Posts: 70 Central Victoria, Australia | i tested the bike with and without resisters and yep i need them, so i have wired them in.
As well as the LED light bar, i have installed strobes. I use "Grace" for medical escort work and i teach Accident Scene Management Courses, so i thought id have strobes installed just in case.
I installed the strobes in the front indicators, rear trunk lights and with a bit of messy around i installed them into the illuminated "Victory" trunk, so its a total discrete install.
thanks for the replies, always nice to know your folks are out there.

Posts: 70 Central Victoria, Australia | Shall do when i get time, the strobes were from Xkglow.com.
i had to modify the ones for the trunk sign, but this company supplies good kit for a reasonable price.
