Posts: 25 Illinois | I have 40k miles and my clutch have no resistance when applied. I did notice earlier in the day that it was slipping when I was in the 3500rpm and higher. Is it possible that the factory clutch can't handle all the torque from all the mods?(cams, intake, ecu, adjustable air intake, IAC, etc) |

| I know they put a different clutch on the big bore kits. I know several with the same mods. but not the mileage you have and they have no slip as of yet. This is going to be a stupid question ..are you running semi-synthetic oil? Some people have noted slippage when running full synthetic oil. |

Riding habits with the upgrades can cause early clutch failure, but if you ride "normal" it is not likely that it would give out so soon. Barring that, have you used additives? While I can attest to the use of full-synthetic oil can cause slippage, you are talking failure, so I don't think that would be true in this case. Given bad driving habits (riding/slipping the clutch, city driving) with the upgrades, 40,000 miles is right on target IMHO. |

| Lets make it simple to begging with.
Check fluid level. How old is it after 4 or 5 years it needs changing.
Pull clutch lever clean and re lube
Now down on clutch arm lube pivot and brass barrel.
What does lever feel like now take it for a ride. |

| O Riley auto parts sells a test kit for brake fluid it $3.95
They say break fluid is good for 4 to 5 years. It you take a little amount and dump it into a jar of a little new fluid you can see the difference |
