Just received my copy of the Spring 2012 "Victory Rider" magazine and on the inside front cover is an ad that reads, "A BAGGER FOR EVERY BUTT." With pictures, it lists the Hard-Ball, Cross Roads Classic L.E., Cory Ness Cross Country, Cross roads, and Cross Country. There is no photo or mention of the Vision. Think there is anything to this omission?

Of course, the Vision isn't a "bagger" it's a "touring". The Vision Street models would have been what I consider a bagger, but the tour models are tourers. Much like I wouldn't consider the Goldwing or HD Ultra Classic a bagger. Until there's actually a Victory model year lineup without the Vision, I wouldn't worry all that much.

Besides, I already have mine.

There isn't a photo or mention of the Cross Country tour either.Probably because the CCT and Vision's are considered tourers not baggers.

The ever churning rumor mill....aaahhhh.   A healthy four year run is about right.  I heard from an "inside source" that the Vision would be around a few more years, and that was in 2009.  The bottom-line, well, is the bottom-line.  Sales and popularity is just part of the equiation, what is the profit margine for a Vision compared to the other bikes?

The next Vision (2014) is even MORE "space-aged" than the current year model. The current look is becoming a bit "dated" here four years later so Victory has gone with a slightly longer, sleeker-looking version with more storage space (not telling you how they did it other than this clue...think "I like Big Butts and I cannot lie"...LOL

I actually wish this was true. Gives me an excuse to buy a new one.

I agree with the fact that the VV is not a bagger, it is a touring bike. Also I notice the dealers in my area sell everyone they get. Never see leftovers anymore or even used ones for that matter. I bet they stick around for a while.

Yesterday I spoke with Bob who is the sales manager for Ness here in Dublin, Ca. I specifically asked him if there was going to be a 2013 model of the VV and he said yes there will be a 2013 model. Good enough for me

I remember when people were claiming there would Not be a 2012 vision... Well..... Now we are talking about 2013.... Lol.

Guys, are you forgetting that 2012 marks the end of the world?

Well, it was slated to end May 27, 2012, but the schedule slipped. Certain insiders are sure it will happen by Dec 31. So, of course there will be no 2013 Victory Visions.

One day they'll be right, then what will you say?

It's been told that Jeane Dixon, our soothesayer of the '70s, would make hundreds of predictions for the coming year, many of them obvious.  She would be about 8% correct (my guess) and the National Enquire would publish that as though everything she predicted came to be.

Yeah, they didn't have a picture of a Cross Country Tour either, AND you know they aren't dropping that model...........

True, the Vision and CCT are Touring bikes, not baggers. I read somewhere that it is the fastest growing segment of Victory sales.
I can tell you that as a current Goldwing GL1800 owner that as much as I love the bike, when they pulled US production, I and many other current owners, have sworn off. Victory is perfectly positioned to take advantage of this development. with a few tweaks, primarily in luggage capacity, I feel they could earn most of that future market segment. They already have a leg up on HD in the performance area.
