San Antonio, TX | I hope everyone is enjoying this last of this lifetime event.
I was able to use my fathers sextant, that has the proper sun filter to view Venus on the face of the sun. To think his amateur interest of celestial navigation in 1970 would make it possible for me to view this event in 2012. Thanks Dad. RIP.
The next transit is scheduled for 2117.
If you cannot view it yourself, turn on NASA TV.
I know this is off topic. I promise I will not start another thread here on Vision-Riders.com about the Venus Transit until he year 2117.
Watch safe! Use sun glasses, a #10 (#14 preferred) welding shield and a low power scope to view the event. Better to watch it on TV.
