Posts: 156 Bluff Park, Alabama - God's Country! 2011 PW VV | Ran over a concrete parking space stopper, tonight. Ran over the end of it while turning left. I just didn't see it! Bike went down hard, but TO protectors saved the day! There were pieces of concrete all over the place, but no Vision parts. Just scratched up the Computer module thing and a couple of oil pan fins. I may not walk right for a few days...pulled groin trying to keep her up!
I didn't think of taking pics as I was a bit perturbed I need a skid plate! Any more suggestions as to what to destroy with my VV? |

Wow, concrete, that's a tough one.
Our Vision took out a deer once, but I still don't recommend hunting with a motorcycle.

Things the vision has taught me.....
It is a tough machine and when a 850# motorcycle is going to go down and you cannot ride it out....do not try to hold it up with your leg.
Keep your feet on or above the floorboards...it is the safest place for them.
Kicking a leg out works for a light weight dirk bike but not a heavy tour bike.
Ride Safe and heal fast. |

| It is sooo instinctual to throw that foot out there - however, on the VV most times we are better of not doing so.
glad your ok. |

Yes everything works fine. The VR is just scratched up some. I was going slow and didnt know what was really happening, tried to keep it from going over. Groin pull was over fine this AM. If I had run straight over it, I would have probably made it!!! |

Posts: 103 Duanesburg N.Y. | Hopefully there wasnt a group of Harley riders around to see you fall, They just would love that kind of shit, hell the flh I had would have been destroyed by now if it wasnt for my tip over protectors covering my weak ass in the wet grass, gravel parking lots etc... Glad you and the vision made it ok. Eric |
