I just pulled off my ECM connector and checked the resistance to my TPS. I got some suprising results. Pins 55-53 was 3300 ohms decreasing to 1330 smoothly Pins 55>46 was 2630 Solid Pins 53>46 was 1620 increasing to 3330 smoothly These readings make me think I'm doing somthing wrong, got the wromg pins or something. Pulled the TPS connector at the front intake and got these readings use two differant meters. 55> 53 Infinite, 55>46=6020 ohms , 53>46=INF. Bike seems to run pretty good. But sometimes it feels like one of the jugs is running at 1/2 power. If I get stuck in traffic and it gets good and hot, I'll pull out of traffic and go down the shoulder running at 2K rpm in 3 gear it will smooth out. I have stop at a rest stop before when it was running poorly , got a drink and came back out, turned the key on and off a few time tring to get the "R" to come on (another ?). When it did, bike started up & was smooth again. vary hot day! Has anybody done these reading of the TPS @ the ECM before. Someone on one of the forums said they adjusted it for 1000 increasing to 5000 when you turn the throttle. There is no adjustment to change the position of the reading on the TPS that I can find . Its good or bad or confusing. |
