I'm taking a group of Victory riders from Houston to Winchester Texas (about 20 miles Northwest of La Grange) on a RTE (Ride to Eat) run to Murphy's Steakhouse on June 16th. Will have riders from Austin, McGregor, and hopefully San Antonio (Radioteacher and SARon add it to your calendars) all are invited. Houston group should arrive between 11:30 and 12:00.
Houston group will be departing from Polaris West in Katy with KSU at 09:30. All bikes welcome.

OldGringo,

Sounds like a great ride but I am in a groomsman at a wedding that afternoon. Below is a picture of the bride and groom to be.

Have a good ride!

Goliad might have to wait until September or November. I sat down with members of my team today and put to paper what I thought was going on....we are short 25% to 50% of my group until mid July.

August is just brutally hot. Maybe I will set it up for Columbus Day weekend.

Pencil in Saturday, October 6th for a ride to Goliad, TX.

Looking up that date I see some history involved for the planning of the Battle of Goliad 177 years ago.

Prelude
On October 6, 1835 members of the Texian militia in Matagorda convened at the home of Sylvanus Hatch. After appointing their leaders, the men decided to march on La Bah?a. They intended to kidnap Cos and, if possible, steal the estimated $50,000 that was rumored to accompany him. The Texians sent messengers to alert nearby settlements of their quest. By afternoon, 50 Texians were ready to march from Matagorda.

Remember Goliad! Remember the Alamo!

Added it to my calendar and will fire out an email blast to my dealership ride group as the date approaches. Also, my overnighter to the near hill country was enjoyed by so many they are pressing me to do another one to the "Siseters" in the late fall. Will let you know when that is going to happen. Safe travels my friend.
