Posts: 117 Spring Hill, Tennessee | About a year agoi remember there being a discussion about how the Kuryuken (sp?) 4710 should be installed to make the trunk light turn into Run, Brake, Signal lights. I maybe wrong, but I thought there was even a post where a forum member posted pics from his install? If anyone remembers this post or knows where I can find the post, could you share with me? I have finally purchased the 4710 and would like to get it installed this week if possible.
Thanks in advance for any help! |

Posts: 117 Spring Hill, Tennessee | I have an 09 Vision. Looks like there might be some issues with load build-up? I'm still looking for some pics? No luck yet |

Posts: 3006 San Antonio, TX | Below is the link for my notes to the install. If you extend the wires as pictured and buy the posi-taps it is much easier. If anyone else in the San Antonio area wants it done let me know. I wanted to film the install but I got short on time.
What I did wrong on Magics' install was to not have all of the wires on the 4710 soldered on and ready to go and have the posi-taps in hand. Once the wires were extended it was really quick install.
If you have a mirror in your trunk it might need to be removed. to fish the wire to the left light.

Posts: 117 Spring Hill, Tennessee | Thank you to everyone for your comments and support. I am doing the project today (on vacation this week). Stand by in case I have any questions please. LOL
Hey RadioTeacher, I saw a post from another member (sorry, I can't remember his forum name) who posted about on an 09, it was important to NOT cut the Blue "power input" wire, but rather tap into it and splice closer to the trunk. Why is this important on an 09? |

I do not know which blue wire they are talking about.
The Blue wire from the 4710 connects to 12+ volts on the connector side of the cut on the trunk harness Green/Pink wire.
On a 2008 Vision the Left signal output is a Blue wire in the harness....You tap this wire. Do not cut it. That is why I use a posi-tap.

Posts: 117 Spring Hill, Tennessee | Okay....I've located the proper wiring harness. RadioTeachers instructions say plug brake input power (White/Pink) into Red input wire from the 4710. I am finding 2 white/pink wires at the point I'm connecting. Any tips on determining which one I should use, or is either one okay? |

Posts: 3006 San Antonio, TX | What year is your Vision?
For a 2008 Vision, under the seat there is a wiring harness near the Right grab handle that has a WHITE/PINK wire, a BLUE/RED wire and a BLUE wire in it. These connect (tap) to the inputs of the KY 4710.
Other year models have different colors for the brake and turn signals.
Brake Input Power - WHITE/PINK wire Posi-Tap connects to the RED Input wire on the KY-4710.
Right Turn Signal Output - BLUE/RED wire Posi-Tap connects to the BROWN Input wire on the KY-4710.
Left Turn Signal Output - BLUE wire Posi-Tap connects to the VIOLET Input wire on the KY-4710.
