| Getting my new-to-me 2008 Victory Vision on Tuesday. My wife has the same bike but mine has stock pipes, hers has S1L1. She wants to swap.
Question - do we need to do any tuning after a swap like this or are we good to go?
Thanks
T

| You will need the Stage 1 download in your ECM and she will need to revert to the stock download. The dealer has to do this. |

ECM has code specific info for each bike, and is VIN tagged as well |

| Like the guy told you on the other form where you posted "just swap keys"
I put S1's on mine and never did any flash and bike runs fine. What a flash does is add fuel and changes rmp curve some what.
By the way I get 44 mpg so I don't was to use more fuel and what maybe I would pick up one or two horse from the flash not worth the money. |

I added fuel to mine with Lloydz VFC III and an AIC valve even before the D&D slip-ons were added and eliminated the surging I was getting in the lower rpm's. The performance is much better now in the mountains and in the city. |

Posts: 482 Beer Collins, Colorado (there is no fort) | I thought is a less restrictive exhaust = more flow. Without adjusting the fuel a lean condition could exist. I believe the bikes are already set up lean to pass emission regulations. I could be wrong but that's my logic. I ran my Vision with S1L2 pipes for a about 80 miles down to get a flash and it seemed OK. I'm just not sure what the long term effect might be-just keep an eye on the plugs. |

Posts: 262 Flowery Branch Ga | I'm sorry I didn't remember this before. The way it was explained to me was that while a different muffler may have the ability to flow more air, if the air filter and all else is stock then you are not increasing the air flow. If you don't do that then you won't have a lean condition just more sound. If my info is wrong then I hope to have someone correct my info before I do some exhaust work.

it wont be any MORE lean with out letting in MORE air... the term Lean is referring to the amount of air to fuel ratio. the stock air filter wont breathe anymore just because of the muffler replacement. also on a side note i would never ever PAY for the victory download..... i did and i did NOT do it for my 11 vision.. the victory maps have to Also be approved for E.P.A. useage which means their maps are also lean.... i had the s1l1, air filter and vic map.. once i install the PCV with the same setup... Thats when i felt the power difference....! |
