Has anyone had any luck with these type of sun glasses. I heard they are NOT all the same. I also heard the cheap ones just dont work. I would like to know what brand worked for you...

I have to stick with my prescription glasses that go photochromic brown as it gets brighter, brown is better than green in differing lighting conditions like in and out of shade rapidly.

I got me some transition lenses for my Wiley-X glasses & goggles and they're great-It's nice not having to stop to change glasses or being caught with nothing but dark shades after the sun sets. I do know they all ultimately wear out over time.

There was just a peace on the news the other nigh and a eye doctor said what you want is "UV polarizing". The best glass I have are While X and second best is the victory transitions.
Cheap is not that good and expensive you pay for the name according to the doctor.

Wiley X transitionals for the past 4 years - I'll never go to anything else. Well worth the price.

Interesting I wear polarized oakleys and I don't have that problem. On some displays I do but looking dead on no issue. No rainbow in the Victory shield but have seen that in aftermarket shields

Funny, I bought the Wiley X "Transitional" lens and they suck. My optomitrist even got me a second set of lens and they still sucked. I live in SUNNY FL and the best deal here is two pair of glasses. On for sun, one for night. Just My 2 cents.

I have been wearing Serengeti sun glasses since about '87. They work wonders. Able to still see colors, lighten up extremly fast for tunels, and remove alot of glare in fog and snow storms. Hard to find them or a good selection, however some optometrist carry the line and are able to order them in. I still have a clear/amber set for at night. They may not be for all however I have drifted away a couple of times only to go back.

Be aware that if you use a helmet visor that blocks UV, the sunglass lenses won't change, just like in a car.

Arkainzeye, not sure what to say. They DO NOT CHANGE color (so to speak). The website shows then going from a very light tint to a very dark tint. No way. They have a light brownish tint and never really change. They are good for overcast days when you need just a touch of sun blockage and still enough for shady moments. I carry then only for those type of days. Other than that, they suck. As I mentioned, I thought they sucked so badly that my optomitrist replaced the lens'. Second set was no different. A tad too dark for good night use, and not near dark enough on a clear sunny day. I might have the old extra lens, I'll dig around today and if so I'll let you know. Go to a store and check them out in person before buying them. Walk outside with them on a sunny day and you will see how ineffective they are.

riders eyewear is where I ordered my prescription transition riding glasses. I love them! One of the best investments (mine were around $119) I've made. My only regret is not getting them sooner.
