Posts: 752 Broken Arrow, OK | Holiday approaching so everyone surfin' the net daydreaming, feel free to spend a couple minutes and click the link. These were taken by my wife so I'm in a few of them, LOL. A VMC meet recently. VIC overload!!

On a side note, I'm frequently reading about the lack of Victory apparel being available. Go to one of these VIC events and you'll find out why. Everyone here owns it all, haha. Saw some killer Vic clothing.

Central Wisconsin | Seems like you had a good time. Your wife's pics were fun to look at, my wife takes most of our pics too. We have a Wisconsin ride coming up soon and a Tennessee ride planned for September.

| thanks for sharing. I like many of the captions - some one has a good sense of humor.
I could not believe the gas price at the QT - $3.25/gal. In North Calif. we are paying more than $1/gal more |

Tulsa, OK is a fortunate place to be where fuel is concerned. I'm not sure exactly why, maybe someone else can chime in, but we are consistently on the map for being the lowest priced in the nation. |

Great pictures. We came down Saturday but missed everybody. We had to be back home Saturday afternoon, so couldn't stay. Maybe next year.
Tulsa and the surrounding area is the lowest in the nation for fuel prices because it is near the center of the universe as far as fuel distribution in the nation is concerned----Cushing. Not to hijack the thread, but the forbidden Keystone Pipeline from Canada to Cushing would have brought cheaper fuel to the whole nation, picking up the new oil found in South Dakota on the way down from Canada. Cushing is literally the center of the fuel distribution network for the USA. The closer you are to that center, or one of the many pipelines carrying refined products from there, the lower the distribution costs.

Posts: 752 Broken Arrow, OK | Thanks Ronnie. I forgot about Cushing and its' importance. Makes sense.
Sorry you missed out at VITO. We spent most of Saturday in the downtown area via the trolley. The women shopped, we downed some brewski.
Make better plans next year, lol. |

Posts: 1632 Jasper, MO | Yeah, I'm sorry we missed it too. Life keeps getting in the way. I was at the first one and the first few after that. I helped (a little bit) plan the VMC National Meet that was held in Eureka Springs in 2006. Since then, life has gotten hectic with kids getting married, grandkids getting born, etc. Grandkid # 6 was due last weekend and our youngest child is getting married this coming weekend, so Grandma had things to do at home. We came down Saturday for lunch. I thought maybe we would run into somebody we knew, but didn't.
I'm mostly sorry I didn't get to ride with and visit with Ron Bogart one more time. I've still got his phone # stored in my cell phone.................
We used to do another gathering called FITO (Fall In The Ozarks). It was sort of a Fall Color ride and informal meet. It has been held at Eureka Springs and also at Broken Bow, OK. Maybe we can gin up some interest in that again.

Keep it in mind for next Spring. It's become an annual event that is usually held the third weekend in May. It started out at the Rider's Rest as the meeting place, but as it grew it has migrated next door to the Country Mountain Inn as the center for the event.

Posts: 752 Broken Arrow, OK | Yes and we're still doing FITO. We went last year and didn't even know much about FITO. We had just gotten our Vision.
VITO is the weekend BEFORE Memorial day, every year. FITO is the weekend AFTER Labor day.
Busy fall with the Victory Motorcycle Club national meet in Hot Springs labor day weekend and FITO the following weekend in Eureka.
The SE Victory Rally is in Helen, Georgia this weekend, 5/31 thru 6/3 and I'm bummed we're about to miss that one. |
