Posts: 432 Gettysburg, 2008 Tour Premium | Thinking of this tire along with a Battleax BT-45 140/70vr18. The tire is one number higher on load than the E3.
This is the tire recommended for the new Harleys and is (not) a radial so should have less of a tendency to fall into corners.
Anybody install one on a Vision yet? |

Posts: 752 Broken Arrow, OK | We've about worn this CT chat out. I run a Mich run flat and like the ride. Have no experience w/ a rear Battleax on the front so can't help there.
I'm now waiting on my State Farm agent to get back w/ me about the legality of running this CT, from an insurers side. If it's a no go, I'll have a nice Michelin for sale. Then my real battle starts, what MC tire to run on the rear. I cannot do another E3, simply from a poor wear/cupping issue, FOR ME, lol, and our MC rear tire options are limited.
Good luck w/ your choices. |

Never run a rear bias ply tire behind a front radial. |

Posts: 432 Gettysburg, 2008 Tour Premium | The Michilin is a M/C tire but it is a 65 vs 60, that is why I would go with a 140 in front to equal out the height differences. I am running a CT now, a Falken and if I ride aggressively the tire works well but at slower speed and light throttle it has a little too much feedback IMHO. |

Yes...been running the Bridgestone Battlax BT45v non-radial sport touring rear tire up front for about 12,000 miles with the Dunlop SP Wintersport Run on Flat radial CT in the rear. The factory Dunlop E3 up front was way to squishy for me. I was concerned about having a radial CT in the rear and a non-radial MT up front. After running this combination all of last year from Wisconsin-Colorado/New Mexico-Wisconsin and Wisconsin-South Dakota/Wyoming-Wisconsin, I have NO more concerns :-)

The Michilin is a M/C tire but it is a 65 vs 60Sorry bout that. Michelin and MC tires just don't ring a bell w/ me. A brand of MC tire I'm unfamiliar with. |

Next you'll ask him what sun glass you can wear or is it ok to wear that jacket when you ride. |
