| Finally put mounting brackets on both front and rear of an 8 Ball seat. Wanted to keep stock seat on bike so mounted bracket below filler panel on frame and had upholstery shop notch rear of seat. Now backrest can go from front to back in a click. Used the factory Vision backrest that usually mounts behind driver. While at the shop had them add heated elements to both front and rear and mount switches in fuel tank console. Now the stock seat looks and works the way it should have came from the factory. Welded steel plate to factory mount so it would mount to frame on rear. All in all pretty easy modification. |

Posts: 33 South Carolina | Landscape - did you notch the back of the seat (a visible notch) or just the seat pan underneath? I've thought about doing this same thing but just notching the seat pan so the tube is hidden up inside of the seat.

| I notched a hole identical to what there is on the front seat. I mounted the bracket that normally bolts to the seat frame to the bike frame under the removable panel. I will try to get pics in the next few days. Works great in both positions for both the rider and for the passenger. |
