| I just got me a new seat. A low Ness 10th anniversory. The 1" lower & 1" forward is more comfortable for me & it shifts my body weight (5'10" 200lb). This makes the bike handle even better than it did before which was good. It is firm, but much more comfortable than my stock 09 Street. Does anyone know if it is leather or parts of it are leather? O' it was cheaper than any custom seat, $299.51 |

| I got the same seat for my 08. Love It! It is not leather but all vinyl, which reflects the price. The all leather is about 6-$800 and is a lot stiffer, less comfy. |

It won't hurt to do a tiny bit of LEXOL application to keep the stitching from drying out and to keep water from seeping in through the stitch holes and rotting the foam inside. |

Ever tried Doc Bailey's leather products? The leather black will make your stuff look like new (if that's what you want) or use the clear for the protection without the black-Great stuff & a little goes a long ways-you might find it works better than Lexol-I did,Brian

| I got it at Surdyke Motorsports in Fetus Mo. It is not heated. Thier on line parts showed $299.51. & shipping was $28.50.
The invoice I got showed it at $363.25 - 63.74 discount (20%). I think that is a VMC Discount. Part # is 2684354. I had seen
this seat at other dealers for the same $299.51 price, but when to Surdyke because I had delt wil them before.

Thank you.
More questions.... does the Ness seat also move you closer to the handle bars, AND does it also lower the pillion area as well? I'm more interested in the pillion area, as the passenger already sits so much higher than the driver.... I'm thinking that if only the drivers area is lower, and not the passenger, that will make for a very awkward feeling passenger.
Thanks |

Yes it lowers the passenger I think about 1" I'm 5'7" and I can stand flat footed on my VV sitting normally. I got a guy that can sells them with some cool tribal patterns and leather seating areas if your interested. A bit more expensive but way cool looking! |

| Turk: It does move you closer to the bars. I think it's about 1". It also has a little rap-around feeling on the butt. I handle the bike better with this seat because of that, and being 1" lower and 1" closer too the bars (I feel like it's 1" . At first I thought it was 1" lower & 1" closer but yesterday I notice that the fit on the hips helped too. Great seat! You can tell this seat because the part where the backrest goes in is about 2" wide, On earllier seats this is strip is only about 1" wide. This seat is shaped so you don't slip forward, you stay in the seat unless you purposly move forward. The front of it next to the paint seems to be the same hight. Ooooh A guy was looking at the bike (as usual) yesterday asked if it was a custom seat? I said no, just an Arlen Ness stock seat. |
