To qualify, if you have a significant other who does, or does not work, and you have one cage and your bike that you ride everyday that qualifies. You are more a biker, or biker babe (have to include the gals) if all you have is the bike, period and would have to go outside your household to ride in a cage. If you have two cages in your driveway and they run, well, that doesn't qualify, but you can chime in if you ride most of the time. You can add an option if you like. |

No - that should be Steve "Rollin" Roland.... Besides, I'm bone stock, use my leathers as my rain gear and winter gear, no gps, no stereo upgrades, no brakes, engine, or tire upgrades. Polaris knows they have high milers out there, but that's not extrordanary, that's what Vics do. Though I'm claiming the stake to have the highest mileage Vision out here, my guess is the real champion is not even on a forum... This is the world we live in, there's a whole 'nother world out there...

| I have two bikes, VV, and KTM Adventure, and an F150.
The KTM serves mainly as my daily rider, in the months where its not too wet here in the Pacific Northwet. I log less than 3K a year on my F150. The F150 main duty is for Scuba Diving, and fetching things I can't on a bike. Everything else is done via Motorcycle. I will admit, when I go camping its typically by car, but thats about to change as I just bought a motorcycle camper. |

Posts: 3006 San Antonio, TX | The Vision is my primary transportation. I need an excuse to take the cage.
If it is raining on the ride to work or if I hear of over 5 wrecks as I get ready to go to work, I take the cage. I do not care if it is raining on the way home when riding. If I have to transport the wife or move something like lumber or a safe, I take the cage.

| I ride the bikes unless it's bad weather or I'm going somewhere with someone who doesn't ride. |

Posts: 323 Troy, NY | The VV is my primary ride from Mid-March through 1 week of December. I ride until it's 25 degrees or higher or if there is more than 50% chance of a soaking rain. I have my sporty mini-van to ride me through the winter and rainy days. |

| There was a time many years ago that I only had a bike to ride, and did not own a car. In those days I was pretty much broke, and had a Yamaha DT175 to get me around. It was a real pain in the butt to go shopping or do my laundry, but I did it for a while.
Now that I'm grown up, I can afford a nice car/truck, and a nice bike. I'm more of a petrol head than a biker so owning a fun car is always a goal, but even though I have 2 fun cars (Mini S / Magnum R/T), I still prefer using my bikes for my 40mi (2 way) commute to work. |

Posts: 482 Beer Collins, Colorado (there is no fort) | I have a company truck, 2011 Ford F250 SuperDuty & gas card, I drive it way more that I want to but it's hard to complain about-it's not a year old and has almost 30,000 on it. Every single mile on my motorcycles is an unnecessary & frivolous mile and I have no desire to play road warrior on my bikes in heavy commuter traffic. I can crank up the AC and sit in traffic on the firms time but I want to to be flying through the canyons on my time. If my job was different and in a different place-sure I'd use to commute but it's not gonna happen for me any time soon. |

Posts: 259 Land O Lakes, FL | I have either my VV to ride or my M109R. Both are fun and I log quite a few miles on them. I have a 2012 Ford Edge Sport and the SO drives a 2011 Ford Edge Limited.
When the weather is great (most days here in Fl) I ride. Gets me ready for the day, decompress me on the way home and then as many frivolous miles as I can squeeze in between work, family, gym, etc... |

Posts: 161 Albuquerque NM | It's been a while since I've gone to start my truck and haven't needed to use the jump box, not because the battery is really bad (yet) I just don't start it for months at a time. I showed up to work one morning this past winter and the boss looked at me, he said it's 26 degrees out there and you're on your bike. I said sure I just rolled the window up, no big deal. |

| I have the Vision and my personal/work F150. I work from home so there is no daily commute. I use the truck to pick up sheets of metal and deliver fabricated parts. But some of the parts are small enough to fit on the bike or a customer wants face time I take it when ever possible . So the truck is mostly work and the bike is work and pleasure..... |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | Bump! I realize that most riders have some sort of secondary transportation and the poll probably paints an accurate picture. There was at one time a motorcycle was my sole transportation. Being so requires one to pay attention to detail and to do careful planning. It also requires an additional level of fortitude and to accept and to learn the dangers of the craft and hone defenses againts those dangers. It requires a never dying diligence as well, as it should be everytime we ride. Having a cage gives an easy way out, even if we chose to ride. Usually a person with their sole transportation is a motorcycle is of a different bred of riders.

Posts: 804 Perry Hall, MD | Would have thought that by now that coworkers would stop commenting about how crazy I am for riding to work in the rain or freezing temps. Guess that crazy is a relative term. Will admit that since I'm a ATGATT rider there are times that I just don't feel like getting dressed up and will take the cage. |
