New Bohemia, VA | I just want to share how pleased I have always been with the Dunlop E3s. They truly perform for all the heavy riding that I do, even in adverse weather. I rode in the pouring rain last Thursday and sailed along even passing the cars on I-95. Never once felt any hydoplanning on unsettledness and gave me a solid confidence. I'm even due for a rear tire change now it just touching the wear bars. I'm going to try and change it before I go to Kentucky, but if not, I always get about another 2,000 miles out of them past the wear bar. I don't recommend that to anyone though, and I do it on my own stupidity. My trip is next Tuesday. For those running E3s and want to share positve coments, please do. |

Springfield Mo. | Have had no problem with them. How many miles do you usually get out of a set. I've got about 11,000 on mine and they still look fine. |

Stockton, California | I also am impressed with the E3s. I got 16,300 out of my rear tire and now have 19,300 on the front. I can still go longer on the front but I am replacing it this week because we are going on a trip at the end of the month. Wear and traction has been excellent. I will definitely continue using them |

| My 2 Visions are running E3s and I think they're great. Very good handling, even on wet roads.
We often ride 2-up with a full load and prefer back roads and twisties to the slab. I keep 38 in front, 40-41 in the rear.
Front and rear both get replaced around 10,000 although I could likely squeeze another thou or two out of the front.
I have no plans to switch any time soon.
And oh yeah... Made in USA. |

Pitt Meadows, BC Canada | Got my SECOND set of E3's on Friday at Skagit Polaris. Had a GREAT ride - and after the new tires, a full service, tune-up - I GOT A NEW BIKE!
Well - same bike - but it rides like NEW !
LOVE those E3's - bike handles like a sport-bike. Rode up a wonderful curvy mountain road - and it was incredible! As tires wear, the rider has to do a little more 'input' to each change of direction - you don't notice that, because it happens over a period of months (or years) - then the new tires take you back to NOT needing that 'input' - and it is a bit scary at first, then WONDERFUL - you just 'think' the bike thru the curves!
I'm on my 3rd set - and have NEVER had any problems or complaints with them. And in the Pacific Northwest, curvy roads are the norm - and good handling tires are a MUST !

Carrollton, TX | I would have responded sooner but I was out putting more miles on my Dunlop Elite III's.  Here are my top reasons for running the Elite III's. - The Elite III's are the only tire that supports the required load limit (992 lbs) for the Vision. Almost every other rear tire from Metzler, Avon and others are only 827 lbs.
- Since the Vision is a touring bike and you are going to do trips if you need to replace a tire you will find Dunlops easy and the others are hit an miss.
- Since many dealers do high volume in Dunlops you can get better pricing on them for the most part.
- The Dunlop Elite III's handle very well in all conditions and wear great.

minnesota | '08 - bike 6 days old - drove into a 65 mph rain storm on top of a ridge in southern WI. Leaned the bike into it and it stuck and so did the E3s. 2 miles down the road when we were able to get off the highway my wife turned to me and stated "I thought we were going to die". She no longer worries about rain. The bike and tires are awesome in my opinion. Been hit with some heavy rains and they always feel good under the bike. On my second set. |

New Bohemia, VA | Some things just speak for themselves. Our Vision has been rock solid in everything on the E3s. Even my wife also has a confidence on the Vision that she didn't have on my previous bike. She never really knows how fast I'm going unless she looks at the speedometer. Saturday we went somewhere and was pressed for time to get back home. I told her when got back that I think the helmet slapper is broke. She just laughed and said "you needed to get on down the road!" That ain't her. We also passed a group of hoggers along with them was a lone Vic. When we got off of our exit we got a wave and thumbs up from the bunch. |

| Just saw your thread. I too only run E3's. I get about 15k miles out of set and I won't run anything else. I do a lot of heavy cornering because I enjoy it and the looks I get when that big bike scrapes are worth it to me. |

| My second set of E3s are just about done and I'll admit that I will be replacing them with the same because I too think they are the right tire for the bike. While I haven't any real complaints about the tires I must admit that I have experienced some hydroplaning. It was in an extreme downpour and I had reduced my speed to follow traffic to about 40 mph but found I had to drop my speed even lower just to be safe. I guess my message is to those who haven't experieinced it yet. Although they are a good tire be aware that they will hydroplane so don't be over confident. |

Same here, love my E3's! Every time I have ever put a new E3 on one of my bikes over the years, front or rear, it made the bike feel and handle incredibly! If I didn't know better, I'd say it was like putting a new tire on after taking an old worn out one off ...  Just sayin.....

Mt. Vernon, WASH. | I switched from the Elite II's on my old VENTURE ROYALE to III's about a year before I sold it, the III's were a revelation!! made a whole new bike out of the old girl so I was, as we say around here, 'happier than a clam at high tide' to see the VV came with them. |

Camas Washington | Same here, just replaced both front and back at 10,000 mostly 2 up riding. Could have gotten a few more miles out them but have 2 long trips coming up back to back so did it early. Everyone knows here in the Great PNW it rains and rains and rains. No issues. Run 41 psi back and 39 psi front |

Litchfield Park, AZ | Out here in Arizona our roads just eat tires for lunch! Car tires will NEVER ever last as long as they would in the Midwest. With that being said, I got 10K miles out of my rear and the 15K out of the front before it started cupping. When I changed out the rear the only reason I did it was because it was cupping and I could really tell the handling was going...even with plenty of tread life left on them.
I haven't found a reason to switch to a different brand simply because I TRUST these tires in the harsh conditions I have out here. Not saying other brands don't have their strengths, but I don't feel the need to put a softer stickier compound on a bike that may not last as long. I want to know that when I lean the bike over in a turn on a mountain road that it will hold up...over.....and over.....and over. |

Santa Maria CA | I have used e3s on the goldwing and my vision, like the way it handles and rides. I get about 18,000 on the rear and 21,000 on the front. Having said that, if you cut the tire in half when you are at the wear bars, I think you might change your mind on going further. There is not much tire left, it would be easy to puncture. I used to push my tires past the wear bars, not now I change early. I'm not waiting till the wear bars any more. |

SC, Bluffton | Something I just noticed on the throne. I was looking in a J&P cycles catelog for the Goldwing.
We know the Goldwing & Vision share the tires. Anyhow, there are at least 8 choices of tires
listed, and the Dunlops are the only ones that state in Bold under their description "Made In The
USA". I think that alone will keep me purchasing the Dunlops.

New Bohemia, VA | My poor planning has given me a deal. I'm at Star City Power Sports in Roanoke in dire need of a tire. I'm figuring $300+ for the whole ordeal. The E3 is cheaper than I found on line at $194 and they'll take off the bike and mount for $61, and they're doing it right now. I'm on my way to fort Knox and the old tire was below the wear bars, shame on me. |

Pitt Meadows, BC Canada | Chris - just remember what I recently forgot. The bike will react much quicker to your input - you have to 're-learn' some things - quickly.
And something I also forgot - with new tires, the bike leans over further when on the side-stand. And is MUCH harder to pull it back upright !!!

Central New York | Just replaced my E3s with a new set of E3s. Just past 14k. Got my annual vehicle inspection and the front just passed, (sort of), had to promise to replace. Rear could have gone a while longer, but if I'm going through the effort of jacking up the bike and ruining my day, it's all getting done. Even changed out the brake pads while it was apart.
I thought 14K was reasonable, especially considering about 5K of that was on newer concrete roads. You can almost watch the rubber come off!
I considered trying another brand, but why? These did everything I asked for, why change on the opinion of another if I'm satisfied with what I have. Just say'in. |

New Bohemia, VA | Man, what a ride on a new pair of shoes. The front is fairly new, but it's amazing the difference from a worn tire, at the wear bar and a new tire. There was good and bad about having a new tire while riping through the mountains. First, the handling was superb on the dry pavement. But it was raining most of the way. The problem was until that tire coating wore off I was doing a lot of sliding around turns, but surprisingly I just went with it. Fortunately the heavy down pours were on the straight interstates. One time I was following a semi in the hammer lane and that idiot was doing 75 and 80 in the pouring rain. I was focused on the road and it didn't even feel we were going that fast at all. No hydroplaning, no nothing. In the mountains going across 58 and 25E there were some heavy rains, but mostly just a steady rain and a mist, on and off. The thing is, it is looking to be the same way on my ride home tomorrow. Bring it on...

Central New York | I was running 41PSI front & back on the last set. Rear looked even and good, Front looked considerably thinner in the centerline, so left the rear at 41 and cut the front back to 39 psi. See if that evens it out some. Also re-installed "Ride-On". |
