Posts: 170 Barrington, NH | Yea, I plan on doing quite a bit to hide the harness but I have some ideas, just takes time. I didnt block off the left side pipe... yet? I may just put a Bassani short on it and call it good in the near future. I still gota get the small tanks made and get some kind of tail lights and headlight on it before I can get it back on the road... |

Posts: 1632 Jasper, MO | If you can get your bike/rider combination below 800 pounds, and this project has a few Lloydz goodies to make it produce 110 RWHP, you'll be knocking on really low 11s or maybe even high 10s @ 120+ MPH with a basically stock 106 motor/frame combination.
You're gonna want a stepped seat and some midmount or rearset pegs. Looks like fun!!

I am looking for a set 17" rims for it at the moment so I can run the Shinko stickey 003s on it. |

I ordered them from Parts Unlimited, I believe they are for a Ducati or a Triumph but I dont think they would fit under the stock console... |

I finally got it on the scales as well. Bike was 580lbs(2 gallons of gas) and 785 with me on it after making a pass(full leathers, boots, all gear and 2 gallons of gas)
Best pass was 11.84@110.4mph Best 60ft was 1.62(I think that might have been off the rear wheel?)

Posts: 324 New Orleans, La, | I am impressed with you effort. I realize it's early in the Polaris motorccle game but either Victory or Indian need to find a product that racers can adapt readily to some type of competition for some brand recognition. Everybody whose antbody has a product in some type of competition regardless of what their target market is. It is still true "win on Sunday sell on Monday". Those companies that have started up in recent years failed to get into some form of competition and are now footnotes in motorcycle history. I read that Polaris is going to concentrate Indian products on retro, heavy cruiser, touring products and Victory on modern, sporty, more youthful market. perhaps a productwill come out of this deviation in focus for Victory will yield a product that competitors can adapt to some form of competitio Ma Vic can "race on Sunday, sell on Monday and bring the kind of brand recognition the other motorcycle manufactorers enjoy. Just saying, |

Pretty darn impressive. Maybe it's time for some rearsets, or probably the addition of a Pingle air shifter.

I know what you mean. Rearsets would help a lot, but they are going to be difficult to mount and adjust the linkage unless you strut the rear suspension.
A couple of missed shifts in the final or semi-final rounds will have you turning wrenches
I'm impressed with what you've done already. When you add some ponies to the setup, you're really gonna have trouble getting your foot back up there.

Posts: 170 Barrington, NH | Soooo, I never did get around to pulling the motor out last winter, we had a lot of snow and since I work on snowmobiles... not really complaining, the 70-80hr weeks help the wallet. I did cut about 25lbs off the bike and made some more suspension changes. I ran the last race of the season last Saturday and made some improvments... It weighed 760lbs with me on it after the last pass and the motor is still completely stock...

Posts: 1632 Jasper, MO | Don't pull the motor. Spend a couple of hours putting cams and supporting parts on and you're in the 10s @ probably 125 MPH. It won't break either, with the stock 106. Might be time to add a slick (traction and light weight) and a bar. Try a rear strut. It will save some weight if the chassis will still launch, which it probably will with a slick and bar.
Really good job of riding. Are you on a pro tree? You really showed up the guy with the 10 second (should have been 9.50 if the dude could ride) 142 MPH bike. Stomped him good. You've got a an ET bracket winning combination there. I wouldn't mess with it too much.
